Any Spurs fans sceptical about Ange I can understand. Although I'd argue this is what they said they wanted after Mourinho, Nuno & Conte, he's the type of manager who's not gunna bend his principles even a little, which makes them easier to beat - we had this with Sarri. The football will probably get better but I doubt the results will ever have consistency with him, and feeling like your club isn't progressing is something no football fans likes.
Pochettino should be given next season for sure. Our owners are at fault for this mess, neither Potter or Pochettino are bad managers at all. As long as Poch continues to make progress, which he has (slowly) this season, it doesn't make sense to remove him unless we had a clear upgrade lined up. If Tuchel coming back was a genuine possibility? That's worth consideration as he's such an upgrade. Otherwise let him work.

As a Spurs fan, we always knew this season was going to difficult. I think if you'd have offered us fifth place at the start of the season, we'd have taken it. Remember, certain pundits were expecting us to finish midtable after we sold Kane. That said, Ange isn't entirely blameless, questionable decisions around not making subs, playing sub-par players, sticking with tactics when it's clearly not working etc, but these are all things that can be ironed out. Arsenal are the best example of sticking with a manager, and rebuilding your team. 3 seasons ago, Arsenal fans were calling for his head, and now, the same fans think he's the greatest manager ever.

Even as a City fan, VAR is a joke. The point of it when it came in was to decrease the amount of errors and have more consistency with decisions/rules. Instead, they change the rules every week and there's been more and more errors with every passing season because of the clowns running it. It's time to switch it off until they get the right people in.

Everyone has their own point of view. Remember what Obi-Wan said, “The truths that we cling depend greatly on our own point of view. The truth is what you make of it.” Even Daniel Craig aka James Bond said, “It’s all a matter of perspective.” So the best is to stick to the middle path. Unfortunately, the PGMOL, VAR and the special panel have their own point of view….with varying consequences.

The NBA has something similar to the review panel called the last 2 minute report where the officials decisions are reviewed for the final moments of the game. It helps to hold them accountable and try’s to rectify mistakes. Hopefully the premier leagues panel can actually work to find inconsistency and address it during this coming offseason.

Van De Ven with more experience has the talent to become one of the leagues best center backs.
