It was a bizarre experience riding up with a drop like that to your side, the cameras don't even do it justice, it was bananas! Later in the tour we do the balcony roads in the Vercors which were even scarier than this 😳 Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more 👍
I think this was my favourite climb of the trip, the view of the clouds rolled over the top of the mountains was just amazing! Thanks for watching as always 😊
Fantastic was definitely the word for this one, I think that big pole near the top was a snow barrier which was luckily up on our visit, next episode we head down the other side into the Maurienne valley which is a great decent through the mountains ⛰️ Thanks for watching as always mate 👍
The French seem to think so, although the Cime de la Bonnette later in the tour claims to be higher but I didn't take an altitude meter to check 😄 Thanks for watching Richard, stay tuned for more 👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video and the footage I managed to get 😁 The Deauville was very well suited to these twisty alpine roads, fantastic bike for it and thanks for the compliments! Stay tuned for more, there's new episodes every week 👍
What a magnificent climb / road / vista / maaantin. And I have to say, as a keen, but ageing cyclist..... WUT! All those cyclists! They must be fitter than a butchers dog.
Thanks Neil, it was a fantastic ride up and probably my favourite mountain pass of the whole trip and with the least amount of traffic too, like you said, more cyclists than anything else! Stick an engine in the frame and I would have a crack at it 🤣 Thanks for watching as always 👍
Deauville is so strong, one of the most reliable Honda bike ! I enjoy a lot your videos, I should do this RGA trip in june with my Africa Twin I didn't buy yet.
This was the first pass we did where I felt a bit weary of the drops, nothing compared to Col de la Machine later in the tour though, how do they build roads like these!? 😆 Thanks for watching, really glad you enjoyed the ride 👍
Your reaction to the sheer drop is exactly what mine would be, keep away from the edge!

Thanks for watching Bilious 👍
Ey Up
Flippen eck, fantastic scenery, and no barriers to stop you from going down the quick way

Its a great run, one of the highest paved roads in Europe 👍

Thanks and glad you like my videos! The AT should be able to do all this with ease!
Thanks for watching and hope you stick around for more 😁
Absolutely fantastic road up that was, looked a bit scary close to the edge on some of them corners ❤

@@Pooley650 it’s mad how they build them isn’t it
some scary drops there, wonderful scenery , can't believe how many cyclists there are
It was a brilliant experience climbing up this one, don't know how the cyclists do it without an engine!
Thanks for watching Charlie 👍
