About soundstage wide, dynamics in bass, detail retrieval in treble and Dynamic Range using for over ears? How do you compare this 4 aspects between sp2000 and sp1000 with the amp module? The material of the body is causing the sound difference with copper being a warmer sound. I know it is strange and I also thought of that when I was starting this hobby with the machine being the ak380 in normal version. I kept thinking why is the copper version so expensive. Having owned the copper, it does sound much better on the copper when I had the ak380. This is also the case with sp1000 and sp2000 sadly. Can’t own them all so it’s your preference since they are super expensive. Anyway stay safe and enjoy music.

I have ordered the copper version yesterday. I like to listen very detailed music with a wide soundstage and good separation of instruments but also warmed sound . I also would like to know options to pair it with good high end IEMs. Thanks in advance.
Hi there, sp2000 has better instrument separation and detail already. Since you mention a warm sound. Then you have selected the right choice and that is copper. I currently am using the Vegas gold version which is made of stainless steel. This retains both versions detail. Mix of stainless steel and copper. Next idea would be which IEM to pair it with. Hope this helps

Vegas gold is a special limited edition that is 300 world wide. I will do an unboxing and a review. Jh Layla 2 is very nice as had that and then sold it for a profit. Will get another one if I see a good price one.
Hi there, not tried the LCD 4. As far as I have read, sp1000 with amp can. But sp2000 power from 2.5mm is a little lower than the sp1000 with using 2.5mm
I didn’t notice that much of a difference between the sp2000 and the sp1000m. I don’t think the price difference, considering the law of diminishing return, justifies the price to upgrade. Unless you’re one of those people who love wasting money, most of us aren’t.
Hi there, the sp1000m is good and light. A good upgrade for sure. I might suggest going for sp1000 if u don’t mind the extra weight and size as sound is better. Se846 is good as had that. Anyway stay safe
I bet the sound signature differences between 4 variants of SP2000 are very slight.. Why can't AK just insert tonality switch like what Hiby did for its R6 Pro - where you can selector between warm, tube, reference, etc?.. But then again, we are talking about TOTL subtle differentiation for a not-so-easy-to-understand "audiophile" hobby here.. What the heck! There is always a market for this where money is no object... :-)

Then, differences are more weight and more quiet background? The second hand versions in 9000 hongkong dollar doesnt have little hits? Very cheap omg!!
Price of a second sp1000 is about 10k above and below that range. Sp2k at second hand is like 22k or less. Yes there is slightly more detail with the Ak while Sony has that warm distinct sound signature. Next upgrade of Wm1z is due next year.
