- Hello everyone,
In this video I want to talk about how to develop your own art style using oil pastel and why you shouldn't stick to the reference. I will also mention the challenges that every artist faces in the beginning of their journey and how these challenges always have solutions.
I hope you find this video useful for your improvement.

Hi awesome painting and I love your imagination ❤ as an aspiring painter I would love to explore inspiration from artists all over the world. Could you share the sources of inspiration you got from drawing this piece ( i.e. the website, platforms, process) ? Thank you for your wonderful advice 😊
Hi
Thank you.💖✨
Well I usually get all my references from pinterest, here is the link of the reference for this painting, I hope it helps.💕

Happy Birthday!🎈 May I ask what kind of tape did you used on your sketch book?🙏
Thank youu🥰💖
I don't know the exact brand but I think it's a general perpose paper tape.
Absolutely brilliant! I love the subtle skin tones and that you did a background. So many artists don't! 😁
Thank you😊💕
I'm glad you liked it. 🤗
What paper you use for pastel? Or any sketchbook is okay?
Hi😊💖
Actually I don't really care much about painting on a specific type of paper or sketchbook, but I prefer the paper not to be too textured and not too white either.
So I think as long as the quality of papers are good, any sketchbook should be fine.💓
Hello! I’m currently working on a piece using oil pastels, but I’m struggling with the hair, do you have any tips on that?
Hi💖
Ofcourse!
Well, for the hair it's better to avoid painting every detail, instead you can apply a base color and then create highlights and shadows based on your reference.
Also using a limited range of colors makes it way more natural.
It's actually hard to explain this in a comment but I'll definitly make a video about your question, I hope it helps.💖😊
