@lalli8152 I was an event cleaner, and thought this dust pile was just dust. It was shards of glass DECORATED around the table. I got some tiny cuts on my hand, and it hurt like papercuts. No gloves. Bare hands. It didn't look like glass at all.

I should have made it clear that there ARE exceptions to that rule: For extremely delicate and shallow surgeries where sideways pressure isn't an issue, obsidian blades are still effective. I believe eye surgeries qualify when they are working on the lenses. After doing a quick google search, seems "steel allergies" are another reason they might change to an obsidian blade.

For extremely delicate and shallow surgeries where sideways pressure isn't an issue, obsidian blades are still effective. I believe eye surgeries qualify when they are working on the lenses.
After doing a quick google search, seems "steel allergies" are another reason they might change to an obsidian blade.
