I find if you place the top on, you position it down lower than the under one. Makes it easier to lift apart.

I think some double sided sticky tape to secure the bottom plate and a suction cup for the top plate would work well for removal.

That was really bad....you just flipped the painting for a second or so ....so we didn’t get a proper closeup of your results....any of them.
