Just to follow up; the lure ended up weighing right at 58g total with the hooks. I get a lot of questions about where I get materials, paints and accessories for these projects. I try to find the best deals on Amazon and I share them in my Amazon store. Follow this link to check it out: www.amazon.com/shop/engineeredanglerlures
I will be using your link for any of these items as I buy them. Excellent RUclips channel too btw
Thank you so much.
As I have retired 5 years ago (I am almost 70) I have time to build lures. Following exactly your instructions I have build my first crankbaits (with and without lip) that work absolutely perfect. Next I want to try is building your eel-lure. What I am not familiar with is air brushing also as i have not the equipment. That will come, believe me ! So: stay healthy and creative, and many thanks for your videos !!!!!!!
Thank you so much. And don't let the airbrushing spook you, its not hard.
You got it. The very best movement comes with a three piece lure.
Nice lure & fish 👍 the tech info you give is priceless many thanks 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
That lure is awesome, and NICE BASS TOO!!!!!!!!
Would love to see your interpretation of a swimming crawdad lure.
Great video, footage was very good. Looking forward to the next bait.
Thank you
I would like to see you tackle a multi segmented small flounder that has the serpentine action just up and down instead of horizontally. If you could pull that off I think it would be an incredible saltwater lure!!! I would also be totally impressed with your fluid dynamic prowess.
Oh and by the way the eel lure was of course top notch as well!
Great job. I was up at 5 this morning and very pleased to see the video posted. Snowing and 30 degrees here in Southern Maine, might as well add another lure idea for striper fishing. I can see that lure being slammed by one no problem. Keep em coming.
Thanks...will do
It looks great in and out of the water. The paint was subtle but worked well. Another one to add to the to do list.👍👍
Thanks 👍
Franko another great job!!!!! Truly very talented.
I appreciate that
That's a work of art. Need to make a fishing deco for fishing spearing.
That lure turned out awesome and it has great action! Congrats on the bass too!
Thanks 👍
Another great video and an interesting lure with a good action, not to mention a nice sized fish, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Nice action on that lure. You did a great job!
Thanks 👍
I'm pretty sure that would be great for snook, big jacks, rooster fish, cobia, tarpon and other salty fish. Cool. Catches nice bass too. I'd love a silver sided one with black back.
Can't wait to put it to the test in saltwater...
@@EngineeredAngler I hope you post videos of your catches
Amen! I knew you were gonna catch on that. Loved the whole process. Great job
Yes! Thank you!
Fishing with Levis, 100% style 😎
You know it!
You've got truly great skills with a very broad range. Fantastic. Used your instruction to make some umbrella rigs. I think they turned out well. Thank you.
Awesome, thank you!
Very nice Franco! Great "fish approved" action :)
Yes, thanks
Love the action in the water!!
Beautiful in and out of the water. Great job Franco!
Thanks a lot!
Super creative lure with a great action! Nice work Franco! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi there, this lure design and built is just wonderful. Congrats for your incredible skills and ideas....
Thank you very much!
Wow-wee that action!!
Great build ++
Loved the video! Always makes my Fridays better!
So glad!
That thing is awesome, I wonder how it would do against our Chesapeake bay stripers
I'd say it would catch a good variety of species.
What a bait and fish !
Another awesome lure
4 piece would be so cool.
Nice job Franko, turned out great. That action is really cool, nice fish too! Random idea for you, have you seen those gurgle pots or bird sound ones? Would be interested if you could incorporate that into a lure at all. Also, any progress on the sailboat? Really appreciate the time and effort that you put in to your videos, keep it up👍
I've actually been doing quite a bit on the sailboat. But I've decided to pull all the videos from this channel and create an independent channel for the sailboat stuff. I'll make an announcement when I actually put the channel online. Thanks for asking.
Nice video this morning
love the action!
Very nice Bait 😃👍 Wish i could do this
That is a sweet lure!
I think so too!
Beautiful swimmer, cool 🎣 👍
Thank you 👍
Way cool. Well done.
Thanks
Awesome dude. Nice work
Thanks a ton!
Very nice lure ¡!!!!!!¡
Thanks 👍
Good Job 👍You are doing good work. Greetings from Germany
Thank you very much!
Very nice job !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I like the comb trick……….
Sweet!
Cool lure
Thanks!
Impressive. What did it weigh when completed?
Unbelievable engineering 👏 !
What if we mix fine wood powder with silicone and then shape that dough by using lure molds ?
Give it a shot
@@EngineeredAngler ok sir !
Do a Bluegill Swimbait please?
I think the bass was around 4lbs
Needlefish swimbait
I have a question unrelated to this video. Can u tell me why my suspending Jerkbaits float in the winter?
Well, This is why I never really think it's worthwhile to get a perfectly suspending lure. Even if you can actually get a buoyant equilibrium , It actually is an unstable equilibrium. So the slightest thing can throw it off. Small bubbles caught in the hooks and hardware or on the surface of the lure will make the lure float. If the lure gets cold enough it can shrink slightly and have less volume that would make it sink. A change in the Density of the water could either make the lure float or sink. But in your case I believe that it's a water density issue. Water is a funny thing it will become more and more dense with colder temperatures until it begins to form ice then it expands and becomes less dense and the ice will float. I suspect that your lures were probably very slightly buoyant to begin with, And the slight increase in density of the colder water will make it float. I prefer to make my suspending baits slightly negative so they sink just very slowly. This way I can count them down and fish them at the depth that I want. Thanks for watching and thanks for the question.
Hi ! I use the same resin and i like it but to cure it i use 2 405nm uv spots and it does work but it is prety long, like 2 or 3 hours, and at the end it is not tacky but a little bit soft... Do you think i need a different wave lenght? Also the smell is prety bad.
Yes...365 to 395nm is best but you also need as high a wattage as possible.
@@EngineeredAngler ok thank you!!
so i'am completly wrong with the 405nm.
you're not completely wrong, its just not the best for this use.
Franco I have a question when you use the mesh fabric for your scale pattern is it possible to use paint brushes if you don't have a airbrush system
I think a brush would push the mesh around...you should try a small spunge.
@@EngineeredAngler would you still be able to paint from different angles
you'll have to experiment...
Could you try making a soft swimbait but with silicone instead of plastisol?
I like that idea....
Jointed Goby?
Franco what wood to you recommend for a top water floating duck lure
Cedar or camphor are both lightweight
I have heard of camphor but I'm in pa not sure where to get it. Do you think pine would be too hard
Where can I find that stencil? I really need one
Check out my Amazon store...there's a link in the description.
How long was the fish? (LMB)
That's confidencial info 😁
