Keep an eye out for the Sentinel Legioss toy which should be going up from preorder soon at: www.bigbadtoystore.com/?ScorchedEarthToys. Click through that link and help me to be able to bring you these videos in the process!
Finally picked one of these up a couple of months ago after missing out on the initial release. I'd heard the stories but nothing could prepare me for how poorly constructed and fragile it is. I transformed it once but I think I'm going to just display it connected to the MP Beta. It just feels like it could fall apart at any moment. Hoping that Sentinel has cracked the code for a successful Alpha toy.
It looks like a beautiful toy, and I really wanted one back in the day. I had found a Scott Bernard figure with his transformable Cyclone motorcycle back in the 1980s at a small department store. The toy was beautiful looking, but it wasn't well made. One of the pins fell out that held part of the Cyclone together. Otherwise it was the only Robotech toy I ever found at the time. I wish that I still had it. The next closest Robotech toy that I ever had was the old Transformers Jetfire. It was a much better toy build.
I made the mistake of buying one of these about fifteen years ago. The arm snapped off almost immediately, and the toy went back in the box and into the cupboard to rot. Really nice box, but I can see why people hate Toynami.
Could you also review the The 4th And 5th Reallesaes of the toynami masterpiece collection alpha toys Namely The Shadow variants which are basically Sue Graham’s Shadow Fighter and that of Maia’s VFA-6ZX Please?
@@ScorchedEarthToysI would definitely agree with you that list you have mentioned earlier is so very long but I’m looking forward to seeing you pit the Toynami Shadow Fighters against the CM’s Dark Legioss in an exiting death Mach I’m still good with you taking during the previous videos before you Compared two versions of Arcadia’s YF-19 from Macross Plus I’d prefer it if you had the music playing in the background while you are talking so you don’t have to be silent during the video so I’m okay with music playing during the video and in the intro. Would you be so kind as to also try to explain the topic while you have music on in the background for your future videos please and thank you.
Yes, someday I'll do both, and the Aoshima Legioss toys as well. Not sure when though as we have the KitzConcept Fast Packs, Hi-Metal R VF-1D, Evolution Toy Dark Legioss, and Arcadia Premium Finish VE-1 all having shipped or about to ship.
I LOVE the size and the matte colors of the Toynami versions. But I'm not about to pay for that sloppy mess and those crumbly hands. Fingers crossed for the Sentinel versions...
There's a new Legioss toy by Sentinel coming out on 6/20 that looks to be vastly superior so prices for these toys may drop over the next few months. Auction sites are kind of your only option, stores sold out of these things more than a decade ago.
@@Ahov29 Unfortunately, I just scanned several stores and all are already sold out. Here's a link so you can see what it looks like www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/106981. If you're interested, you should hit stores on 6/20 looking for any that receive additional stock.

The hands to my Rook red alpha fighter's hands disintegrated from just sitting in the nice box over time.
That's Robotech quality for ya
@@obiphenom I be careful if I were you because those hands brake to quickly ok?

Hmm so only downside is the pins in the hand? I can handle that 😅 I’m particularly saving up for the shadow fighter. Is that one any different?
The transformers generations blitzwing is the same design in jet mode and can even store his gun inbetween the engines like the alpha fighter.
I think it's a version where you need to fix issues by yourself. I Would rework and paint the air intake completely.

It's on the list... but the list is very long! I was kicking the idea around of doing a Toynami Shadow Fighter vs. CM's Dark Legioss video.

Why do ppl dislike Toynami? These figures look incredible
Mostly for the build quality/durabilty. Looks good but crumbles and has misalignments.
Mine are still sealed. Never had a place to display, would actually like to sell them now.
Do you have a Lacer VFA-6I?
wondering can find in hobbylink japan??
Great video .thanks
