Robotech was my favorite show after school 35 years ago. I remember rushing home just to watch it. I wish they would bring it back as a anime series. Its still awesome to watch.
For me on the East Coast it came on early in the morning, wake up early Rush downstairs to get my cereal and then sit in front of the TV and watch it until it's time to go to school !
The American guy that spliced 3 separate cartoons to equal Robotech was a genius. I love all 3 Campaigns. Especially the 1) Hovertank, 2) Mospeda, and 3) Veritech fighter. That was creative. Mospeda had an upgraded veritech fighter with a motorcycle combat suit stored inside the veritech.WTF ? ? That spacecraft Tom Cruise was using in that movie Oblivion had a portable motorcycle stored in his spacecraft. They got that idea from Robotech. Many sci-fi movies use the swarm missiles from Robotech. I can go on and on about the cinema inspirations from Robotech.
Battlecry was the absolute best macross game this gave me so many good memories of this anime and it definitely needs a game!!! I’m definitely subbing to the channel after this!
Amazing. Just amazing. Also, I noticed the Transformers Sound effects you used for the weapons (unless they were just Stock sound effects they used in DOTM, which, honestly wouldn't surprise me). But once again, Amazing.
Some of this is spectacular! Some of it not on par but I can live with that because seeing the Battletech figures come to life even more so than the Anime versions is just so wild. I was naming off the ones i could remember like, Archer, Warhammer and Marauder. The scenes with the Beige Valkyrie looked so real. The explosions are the biggest thing to try and fix as they did not feel like they were part of what was going on. 2d on a 3d stage in feeling like early (or low budget) CGI movies. Man, I hope you folks can get the opportunity to make a longer episode w a story and such.
This is not Battletech. Also, the names of the mecha are different between Robotech and Macross as well. The "unseen fourteen" in Battletech were in large part unseen because of a lengthy lawsuit that Harmony Gold, who owned the rights to Robotech, brought upon FASA, who owned Battletech at the time. Oddly, they also laid claim to images in the suit that were not part of Robotech or Macross, but instead were sourced from another early 80's anime title, "Fang of the Desert: Dougram." Dougram mecha included what would be called in Battletech, The Shadow Hawk, Wolverine, Battle Master, and others. The Locust, another "unseen fourteen" came from the anime "Crusher Joe." So did a tank... I've forgotten its Battletech name just now. For some reason, it wasn't part of the litigation. I'm such a geek.
@@tananam9782 very cool info. I fell like those were the names from battletech because i only watched robotech and played battletech (board and pc games). That Locust one I had forgotten about, I used that a lot in the pc game.
@@notthesamecc1927 I'm an old school board and dice, and command-line commando in old text based MMOS and the like. I was a Battletech fan when the litigation was fresh. It was obnoxious, especially as I was a fan of Robotech (and the attached titles, Macross and Mospeada). I was only able to see the Dougram series much later, even later than some of the Crusher Joe series (still missing most of the series, but I have seen some OVAs and a couple episodes). Sheesh, I'm such a geek! To be clear: I've only seen Fang Of The Desert: Dougram and some of the Crusher Joe stuff, I haven't been able to collect it yet (I used to do that, less so now). Sheesh. Man, this is the best thing you've done with macross since Frontier... this DELTA has taken me a lot away from Macross in the last few years... Seeing your work refreshed me... excellent.
As I see it, all mecha driven business better join efforts, because the era of fascination for mecha has been fading. Nowadays the trend is singer idol superstars. And at this time the revival of mecha enthusiasm is pushed by Battletech. Any efforts in the Battletech side will create a wider market.
What needs to happen is a bunch of you guys that are making these sould come together, write a script and then produce short segments like this one, and string them together. Instant movie for real fans of Macross.
This is so great. Perhaps you could make it perfect if you added more blurry movements and some damages (one Mech take several hits and seem to go down but there is not a scratch). Anyway, bravo, I just subscribe for more to come ;)
That was BAD ASS AWESOME!!!! I love ROBOTECH! I watched it as a kid. I have the Macross series on vhs. I wish they would make a full featured film!!! I would be there opening night, get a poster and buy the blue ray!!!! Great job!!!!
I am surprised that this is still around after 6 months. I definitely thought Hepatitis Gonorrhea would have issued you a cease and desist like that dude that tried to kickstart a documentary. Great work. Keep them coming.
In Japan this was Macross. American dubbing turned it into Robotech and sold it along with ExoSquad. Gamers used it for table top battletech. Whatever it was it kept the brand alive.
In Australia, they showed Robotech in the early 90s on TV in the mornings and I used to watch it before going to school.. There was also a show called Battletech from memory.
Awesome to see the love for Robotech (Macross) still! Very cool. If I could make a suggestion... I think it would look really good if the cannons had recoil after they fired. Like at 1:13, after each cannon fires its shot it "should" recoil back. I don't know if that feature would be true to the original designs, or maybe those guns are even lasers, but I think it would look pretty awesome. :)
Interesting use of ace combat voice lines, even if the mixing makes it hard to hear. Only faulting the audio a little as the visuals are too solid. Lovely work and good luck
I enjoy seeing all the battletech designs robotech wont let battletech use. They look amazing in this video. The Warhammer is still my favorite mech... love the stinger, archer, marauder, rifleman, and the baby locusts in this video

macross 2, macross plus, macross zero, macros frontier, macross delta (most recent one). They keep making macross series... around every ten years XD
Mine, too! I remember it being on early in the morning for me in my area (Southern Michigan). We would talk about it first thing at school.

So cool to be an old school Robotech fan boy from the 80’s and see fans doing next level stuff like this now ?!?! = mind blowing :)!
There is also some good fan made Space Battleship Yamato stuff out there as well..... :)
Gundam one bot looks tau from warhammer 40k and another looks like the Polyrobo from half life alpha
Im 18 and i love it
WOW! Fantastic job! Thanks to all in production of this. Anything that brings back memories of my favorite Robotech series is truly welcome.
Very Nice! This is one of the few times the MACII Monsters were portrayed at accurate scale to everything else and I love it.
I love that you gave each VF their call sign/squadron name. Gives more character than the usual cannon fodder units
Not sure if all of it was but some of its from Ace Combat 4, that Mobius 1 callsign is very distinctive.
@@Cpeerson2000 oh yeah Mobius :D
Most of it's from ace combat
放送当時、リアルタイムで視ていたから、CGでこんなにリアルな映像が視られるのは感激です。👍️
I would love to see a new rendition of Robotech today. I loved this show growing up.
DOES HE KNOW???
Without a doubt, I could watch a whole movie like this. Great attention to detail. Keep up the great work Iron Castle!!!
What really made this awesome was the realistic radio chatter, it feel like a real military up against the Zentradi
Do something!

A gritty war drama with destroids !!
Great animation guys. Love it !
I would love for this guy to be given a big budget to create a full Robotech movie. Excellent work.
WHAT PURE AMAZINGNESS IS THIS!!! I am forgetting even how to make mouth words - this is so amazing.
FANTASTIC
That was intense! Fantastic job!
Well damn. Can't go wrong with the legendary ace pilot of the ISAF forces on your side. MOBIUS 1 for the 🏆

Awesomely done. It makes the initial battle on Macross Island more horrifying by showing just how vulnerable Earth was.

Remember Captain Gloval's maneuver in literally punching a Zentradi ship with a fistful of missiles (ground mech units)?

I loved the Robotech mod for the first Homeworld game. This is so a ground version of that. I love it.
