I Just bought a GoTrax XR Elite this past week (4/30/22) based upon watching many reviews here on you tube... I have to say that yours was the most info rich and pivoted me to making this purchase. Awesome videos!

I have an iSinWheel i9 Pro being delivered today. 8.5 in solid tires, 17 mile range, 18.5 mph top speed, dual break system, dual rear suspension for around $400. Should help a ton with saving on gas. Gonna use it (in conjunction with the bus) to get to work instead of driving.

I just ordered a Hiboy S2 that was on sale and paid $328 for and I just used a $500 rebate that I got back for my e-bike to purchase a Varla Falcon currently selling for $899 that I’m going to pay $399 for which is really cool to get a more high end scooter for the price of a lower end. I plan on using the S2 to for daily commuting to work just 1.5 away and the Falcon for leisure and recreational uses.

It's interesting to see this comparison here, I actually own both brands and can definitely tell you that both have their ups in an downs. My city is a mixture of bumpy and smooth roads, as well as hills. They Excel and average out pretty evenly overall. The only differences being price and top speed.

Agreed. Although I'd recommend the Gotrax over the unagi to just about everyone, I actually did have more fun riding the Unagi in the city. Thing is, though, scooters are expensive so you have to factor in a lot of other factors. At the end of the day GoTrax delivers a pretty unbeatable value.

why not??. scooters are not necessarily for kids . in NYC Tons of people use them for commuting

Your videos are great - surprised you have so few followers! I think you focused on the wrong things in the beginning here. If you’re saying to compare an Unagi then compare it to the Xiaomi M365 as it also has regen brakes. From a tire perspective there are tons of budget scooters with solid rubber tires but personally if you ride anywhere avoid them at all costs if the scooter has no suspension - THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT ROAD!! Every road you ride will have cracks and potholes, sidewalks have cracks between the plates, cobblestone roads are everywhere so there are cracks everywhere. From my experience the main factor between budget and expensive scooters is the motor. Going in NYC, the motor is important because you want to keep up with traffic otherwise it becomes dangerous if you can’t accelerate fast enough from a stop or keep up with the cars. Motor also determines whether you can climb a hill. In NYC you do see roads have a small incline, if your scooter can only do 5-8mph on a NYC road up that incline you’ll be in trouble. Some expensive scooters also are expensive because of compactness - I think you covered that in the video.

Agree with most of what you're saying. My main point is all the little extras don't really matter, the ride matters. Motor plays a big role in that.

@@TheScooterSpot I agree with you. The extras don’t matter at all.

the scooter scene is a pretty niche market. so many channels appealing to such a small audience. Congrats on getting past the first big milestone of 100 subs @the scooter spot . I got a budget action cam in october, hoping to make it to 100 come summer. at 73 now which feels so close, but is oh so far lol. Not that it's a bad thing having so many channels out there, we need as much attention as we can get to the scooter/pev scene. I've came across under a dozen other scooter owners in my city...and hope to spread awareness and gather some interest in my city. Hopefully in the summer, when the rentals are back out dowtown I can meet some other enthusiasts. Gonna be a long winter, so jealous of those who can ride year long lol. cheers, subbed

If you're riding a scooter with hard tires definitely invest in a pair of gloves

Unagi is a crapass substitute for high end. It's a bad scooter. You can buy a $1,000 scooter that is way better

Chill, not crap ass, overpriced yes, sleek and nice for short trips and great portability on paved roads. My daughter absolutely loves it, she’s 10 and she can get it in and out of the car.
