This cover keeps popping in my feed from time to time throughout the years and each time it does - I watch it from start to finish. Such a great work. Now back to practicing Collapse....
Probably my all time favorite After the Burial song and the most clean cover of a song I have heard on RUclips. Very well done my friend. Take care my good man!
This song is beautiful, it helps me remind myself of all my good memories I had when I was younger. I'm 14 now and I feel like the world has already ended edit: im 16 now, almost 17
When I first heard it I laughed aloud, but now whenever the song comes on I get hyped for it. If I ever see this live I'm gonna break my fucking neck to it.
Seriously this is the greatest metal whateverthehell genre song you want to call it ever. Every single time this comes on it is a non skip listen to the whole thing with my whole family telling me to turn it off i dont give a shit song. It is beautiful and deserves respect when played. Fucking air horn breakdown come on.
DUDE! Flawless cover!! You make it look so easy! I love how you actually used an acoustic at the beginning! Also, those were beautiful edits! Everything about the production of this video is fantastic!
I can't remember how many times I've watched this. The fucking drop is monstrous and you nailed this so bloody well. If only someone would do the drums for this, I would be so happy haha. Bloody great work dude.
I would like to make a request. I watched your scourge of iron cover and loved it and thought perhaps you'd be willing to cover Nihility by Decapitated?
It's always a possibility, that's a sick track and album by Decapitated for sure. I've got some stuff lined up for the near future, but you never know...
Thanks for the response and yeah its my favorite song off that album as well and i can't seem to find many covers of it but anyway i just know you have some of the best covers I've seen so i thought I'd ask.
+Reid Fredd Hey dude, there is actually a really good cover of Nihility by some guy called Ben Sutherland in case you don't know yet. You should check it out.
Hands down the best cover I've seen of this song, if not ever. Just maybe next time bring down the backing track slightly so we can hear more of you. Otherwise you get lost in the mix. Either that or your tone was replica-grade spot on.
ThatBeTheQuestion Thanks man. I always turn the backing track down significantly, and always use the best tone possible for all of my covers. I think if you A/B the original track to mine you will be able to tell the difference.
Flawless! I have to ask though, as a fellow guitar player, how did you master/play the syncopated staccato notes during the verse? You weren't off once. Are you actually counting off beats (1 e and a 2 e and a...)?
Kevin Kunst Thanks man! Dude, all it took for me to get that part down was repeated practice- that's it! Just play it over and over again until you get a feel for it, then it will become muscle memory and you won't even need to think about it.
Would absolutely recommend. It's definitely my favorite guitar that I own, and honestly probably the best I've ever played. It's so loud; I literally have to turn my tracks down like 8 decibels every time I record because the pickups just dominate everything.
Unfortunately, he doesn't sell any, but I'm trying to convince him to open up an Etsy page. There's a couple of pics on my Instagram page if you wanna take a look! The link's in the description.
Kyle Thompson Guitar For the verse, break it up section by sections. For the breakdown, there's 3 chugs between each bend. Count the bends and write it out. That's what I did.
I use a hacked Canon Rebel T5i with Magic Lantern software and Adobe Lightroom for coloring. The guitar I'm using here is a US Jackson Misha Mansoor signature Juggernaut 7 string played through a Fractal Audio Axe FX II. Hope that helps!
It all depends on the type of glass lens I'm using to film with, and the positioning of the actual lights themselves. The lens flare is the light scattered through image formation mechanisms, like internal reflection and scattering from pieces of the lens.
Thanks man! You know, it took me an entire year to pay off the Juggernaut, and it took 6 months of waiting for the guys at Jackson to make one for me. All you gotta do is work for it and be patient mate! It was totally worth it.
how do you order them just with the covers and the screw holes are punched into the covers? i dont have a guitar where it has the pickup bracket im kinda new and dont know where how thinks work lol
I'm not sure if you can order them individually/separate from the guitar like that. It appears that everything on the Bare Knuckle website has the screws in them: bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/pickups.php?cat=humbuckers&sub=contemporary&pickup=juggernaut
This cover keeps popping in my feed from time to time throughout the years and each time it does - I watch it from start to finish. Such a great work. Now back to practicing Collapse....
that tone is EXACT
It's all the same
@donalddlugos6688 at that time it sure as hell was, only thing ATB did different was use Orange amps, hardly anyone else did cause they're bass heavy
Probably my all time favorite After the Burial song and the most clean cover of a song I have heard on RUclips. Very well done my friend. Take care my good man!
Thanks for that.
Came for the airhorn, stayed for that breakdown
I hated the airhorn lol I gave it a shot but never ended up liking it lol
Those bends at 2:35 are pure insanity, killer cover man!
This song is beautiful, it helps me remind myself of all my good memories I had when I was younger. I'm 14 now and I feel like the world has already ended
edit: im 16 now, almost 17
Nah man, it hasn’t ended. Everything’s gonna be good.
The hell men, shits just began
@@KevinDanneman you were right

@@Nathdood old id imagine

Great job thank you for sharing
Admit it. You wanted to jump up and down when the breakdown came in XD
When I first heard it I laughed aloud, but now whenever the song comes on I get hyped for it. If I ever see this live I'm gonna break my fucking neck to it.
I almost never listen to metal, but with this band has reached a new level for me.
The breakdown makes me think I can punch through concrete walls.
Every fuckin time!!
It’s almost impossible not to
This is a song that doesnt take itself too seriously. There are some very momentous parts however... I like a lot of ideas.
I thought that said javier reyes at first lol. but yeah thats true, awesome track
It doesnt take itself too seriously but it IS about the guitarist who committed suicide. 😞 One of my fav ATB tunes.
Man 😢always breaks my heart hearing this. Rip justin
Dat Juggernaut doe
Love the fresh texture of the acoustic as well that Jackson monster!
Been watching this for years and still amazes me how you do it.
Rip Justin Lowe

After the Burial finally "clicked" for me. Thank you for that.

The outro is tricky but we all know as soon as we heard it that it was a fun riff
Dude, 100% perfection
Superb player, dude. Awesome cover, simply amazing.

Freaking awesome cover man! Nice tribute to Justin!
Amazing cover. Well done sir! :-)
great video. no unnecessary camera switches or stupid effects. love it
Wow. Beautiful cover man! If you don't mind telling me, what guitar are you using? Its beautiful!
Israel Rodriguez Thanks man. That’s a Jackson Misha Mansoor Juggernaut 7 string. My personal favorite guitar to play and look at.
Holy shit.
This cover and this song is brutal as fuck. Great work mate, can't wait for more!
Badass cover bro!

This is so fucking beautiful
no noise gates were harmed in the verse
♥
tight
HOW DID YOU GET THAT TONE PLEASE
Can you tell us your signal chain?
Hey man! I’m new to all the djenty stuff; what tuning is this?
G#D#G#C#F#A#D#
Kevin Danneman so that’s drop G# for a 7 right?
I've been thinking about getting a Juggernaut. Is it worth it? Looks great and sounds huge.
Would absolutely recommend. It's definitely my favorite guitar that I own, and honestly probably the best I've ever played. It's so loud; I literally have to turn my tracks down like 8 decibels every time I record because the pickups just dominate everything.
+Kevin Danneman Dude that's awesome. Great cover by the way. Keep killing it man
Hey man i know this may sound crazy but do you collect foutain pens? I think i see some on top of your cd player during the acoustic part.
Yeah man! My Dad actually hand crafts pens from exotic woods and clays. He made all of the pens that you see there.
oh sweet me too. Does your dad sell any pens? Also what fountain pens do you have in your collection would love to see.
Unfortunately, he doesn't sell any, but I'm trying to convince him to open up an Etsy page. There's a couple of pics on my Instagram page if you wanna take a look! The link's in the description.
what's your secret to learning the verse polyrythym.
Just practice it over and over again until it clicks!
I finally got it lol. can you do a quick little tutorial for the intro?
Kyle Thompson Guitar For the verse, break it up section by sections. For the breakdown, there's 3 chugs between each bend. Count the bends and write it out.
That's what I did.
I’ll be honest, this sounds 10x better then their actually recording
Brilliant cover dude. What string gauge do you use?
Also is that a Misha Mansoor sig?
Yessir
I think I used a set of 11's for this.
what guitar model bro? very nice guitar
Jackson Juggernaut 7.
@@KevinDanneman jaggernaut by misha?
alexi laiho Yessir.
Mishaps Jackson nice choice in guitar
The acoustic tuning is a half step down, correct?
You got it.
could you make an instrumental please?
I don't know about that man, that's a ton of work you're asking for there.
Kevin Danneman ok man thx for replying
can i have the detail of your gears ? they look great man
Do you mean guitar gear or camera gear?!
both guitar and camera
I use a hacked Canon Rebel T5i with Magic Lantern software and Adobe Lightroom for coloring.
The guitar I'm using here is a US Jackson Misha Mansoor signature Juggernaut 7 string played through a Fractal Audio Axe FX II. Hope that helps!
How do you get that lighting effect?
It all depends on the type of glass lens I'm using to film with, and the positioning of the actual lights themselves. The lens flare is the light scattered through image formation mechanisms, like internal reflection and scattering from pieces of the lens.
What kind of Jackson?
Juggernaut HT7
I wish I could get a Juggernaut, dream guitar. Great Cover tho
Thanks man! You know, it took me an entire year to pay off the Juggernaut, and it took 6 months of waiting for the guys at Jackson to make one for me. All you gotta do is work for it and be patient mate! It was totally worth it.
kinda like Lukas Magyar 's vocal
Do you even djent? Yes he does.
what tuning is this
G#D#G#C#F#A#D#
Pickups ???
They're the Bare Knuckle Juggernaut 7 string model.
how do you order them just with the covers and the screw holes are punched into the covers? i dont have a guitar where it has the pickup bracket im kinda new and dont know where how thinks work lol
I'm not sure if you can order them individually/separate from the guitar like that. It appears that everything on the Bare Knuckle website has the screws in them: bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/pickups.php?cat=humbuckers&sub=contemporary&pickup=juggernaut
+Kevin Danneman I meant like can I order them without the side shafts for a pickups bracket just like an emg style pickup ?
I'm not sure man, you'll probably have to inquire with Bare Knuckle to get a good answer.
Anime
Yes please.
Kinda looks like doctor strange 😉🤘
Nice
