Everyone worried about landmark, we're other businesses not affected? Plus the government owns the coastline, he used is land already and still used 250m of government's land whilst government just wanted to collect back 50m, plus our coastline shouldn't be commercialised, Is there any country in this world that commercialises it coastline not even Benin, I want to be able to drive to calabar, chill on the coastline when tired and get back to drive, beaches are meant to be accessible and free, there's nothing wrong about the project, plus we are not even funding it, reduces traffic congestion in the normal route, faster, plus most major highways in the country are under repairs or construction, why are we all mad, this road will build tourism, business along there will boom, even supply of good and services will become less because of less longer route

Landmark is the only beach affected by this new route. The fact is that Landmark beach need not be destroyed at all as the Water Corporation road which landmark is asking the FG govt to return to is undeveloped and is more cost effective for the government to use. it is totally unfair and unjust to want to take the livelihood of 12k people and add them to the over 10m employed youth when there is an alternative route. it's simply baffling. Mind you after destroying the Landmark beach and taking away 12k jobs the road goes back to the Water Corporation Road to protect many other ocean front properties further down the road.

Nigeria ought to shift focus from chasing shiny objects to the untapped economic potential in its rural areas through large-scale agriculture. Building infrastructure to connect these rural areas with urban centers and utilizing idle lands for diverse food cultivation could lead to exports worldwide. Otherwise, the reliance on imported goods, bought with scarce dollars, will only continue to devalue the naira.

The road design and route is about 20 yrs old, if not more. Landmark’s case is different. They appropriated land that wasn’t even allocated to them and used it as part of their business assets.
