James' guitar tone sounds like an evolution from Kill 'Em All and Lars' Kick Drumming has the speed and aggression of And Justice for All. Kirk and Robert are killing it like always. Cannot wait for the whole album!
Really ??? Seriously? The tone is general : generic if you will ….. fan boys are jumping up & down - Metallica released new music & their back ….. Christ … this is the same shit every what 7/8 years ?? It’s commercial….. “ Radiation/ condensation/ communication” Blah blah blah : my money is on more filler trash : this just another excuse for a tour to take your money $300 a ticket for the cheap seats :::: look it up posers
Super pumped for METALLICA! Can’t wait for the album! This is track 6 on the album, so we still have the opener and closer to look forward too, not too mention tracks 2,3,4,5 which in METALLICA history are always great songs! I’m just floored.
Ever since they came back from the pandemic, Hetfield's vocals on tour have upped to another level. I don't know if it was the two years of rest or what, but he has been killing it vocally.
Awesome Song! Simple but just a steady happy riffalong! Did you listen to their 2016 Album "Hardwired to self destruct"? If not maybe react to some songs from there while we all wait for more songs of "72 Seasons" Rock on! Greetings from Germany
Agreed - at the very least, react to “Spit out the Bone”, “Hardwired” and “Moth into flame” … oh, and their cover of Deep Purple’s “When a blind man cries” from the bonus disc
As I always say to my friends there is a reason why METALLICA is freaking METALLICA... someday in the far future. Schools will have a history lesson about the Gods of Metal which was METALLICA.
Awesome 👍👍 reaction fast and loose song. It like Motorhead song. It the 6song off the album not like the last album which was first song off the album Title track to
As a die hard Metallica fan(except for load and reload mostly) you absolutely must listen to hardwired. It’s amazing seriously. I like is as much as anything made from kill ‘em all to master of puppets era!
if you like all the stuff BEFORE Load, ReLoad and St. Anger - like I do - you should definitely check out the two previous albums because Hardwired is like an extension of Puppets and Death Magnetic is an extension of Justice
The drums in the middle and towards the end sound a lot like Overkill by Motörhead. Probably an intentional nod to one of their biggest influences, and they played it a few times during the big 4 shows.
Wish the bass was a tad bit louder but Metallica are never about the bass even when they had Cliff it was still a low mix. Great song let’s hope the album sounds good too
It’s got definite kill em all but even Megadeth vibes in how relentless it is. I don’t know what I expect from them now but what I don’t hear much these days is light and shade from them. It’s canny but I don’t love it on first couple of listens. It looks like James has been through a lot and the depth of those early lightning lyrics are something I miss from modern Metallica
I don't particulary like Metallica, but you Sir, are doing a good job. At a point you could possibly make me listen a bit more to there music...Naaaa, I'm kidding😁 Take care🤘
there better songs on Death Magnetic and Hardwired such as All Nightmare Long .The Unforgiven 3. Dream No More. Confusion and Spit out the Bone. check that out!
Spit out the Bone has killer parts but needed to be trimmed back a LOT, something they've been bad at for a long long time. Lux Aeterna smokes the rest of those songs.
@@adambloodfist3368 tbh I like the riff and the chorus on lux eterna. But the core melody that James sings in the verses is weak. Very uninspiring if you compare to Confusion for example
@@adambloodfist3368 No one wants a trimmed down 3min30 Master of Puppets. Disposable Heroes. Blackened. One. Etc. Thats what make them epic and special. I think the same for their newer songs
not sure how u can get side tracked and not listen to a certain band because u checkin out other bands ha...theres always time for the bands u used to listen to....tho u never really missed much with metallica...load/load was there last best albums...3 after it wasnt too good...soem cool tracks here and there tho....this tracks cool...hope new albums is not long winded and no dam double album again....anyways enjoy...let the music have a constant flow. from minty in bham uk
Yeah…they’re back…with someone else music. This song is a complete rip off of “indigo friends” by The Reverend Horton Heat. James is a big fan of the Reverend Horton heat.
They have been since Justice. When your drummer is a co-songwriter on every song, that’s what happens. I just don’t know if Lars can keep up with this live. Heard some recent live performances and you could tell that his timing was off. He’s definitely lost a step at his age.
Megadeth wouldn't put out a song this shitty...mostly. Metallica has been crap consistently for years. Megadeth at least will produce some quality every once in awhile.
@@anthonydalicandro8848 I am no super fan of Megadeth. Personally find Death Angel to be my favorite American thrash band. My point is Megadeth is still recognizable by most people. Metallica has become more and more neutered by the record. They were a good band until the Load/Re-Load era. Garage Inc had some good moments, but I find them lack luster now. They are far better players than they allow themselves to be on the records. I find that sad.
I want to give Metallica the benefit of the doubt, but they have continually disappointed me. This single is absolutely horrid. I hate to be that guy, but the only improvement is James' vocals. The guitar writing is palatable for clear channel radio and that is it. Lars finally wrote a drum part he can play live with out blowing it. (Which he does almost every single show) People are comparing this to Kill 'Em All and I just don't hear it. This is no Ride the Lightning. I do not hear the roots of the band unless you are considering the roots to start with Load and Re-Load. I hope this is the weakest single on the record because I absolutely hate this song. It is lifeless and not at all creative. Kirk Hammett plays a great solo and that's basically it. I would love for Metallica to make a valiant return to form, but they simply won't. Kreator did it, Megedeth did it, Death Angel did it, Slayer sorta did it along with a few others. This song does not reflect the Metallica people are claiming this to be. I will look forward to the rest of the record because if this is the worst song on the record it will give me hope. Again, I hate to be that guy but this song is basic and lazy.
I def enjoyed this new single What did u all think?
I like the way they exhausted their reds!
Is similar like Master of Puppet..
Loved it! Reminds me of hit the lights and other NWOBHM inspirations
Definitely has kill ‘‘em all vibes
You would really like spit out the bone from hardwired

just hopin its not another long winded double album.

For me, it started with his vocals on the Hardwired album. That whole record had a great sound. But, James stood out.
cause he was able to rest the voice
THIS SONG SLAPS SO HARD!!
My gooch is still tingling… LETS GO!!
🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥
YES IT DOES!!!!!!
Definitely and old school feel! Love it.
Loving this format you got going on, can’t wait to see the entire album reaction
Thank you very much for that compliment! I look forward to more!
go back to last album and Spit out the bone song if you want to be blown away. this one is OK, pure DiamondHead worship which is always good.
They are getting really comfortable in the studio now! They are playing to their strengths
Beeeer- Good!
Napster- Baaaaddddd!
I hope the rest of album is this good! Love the vibe! Kinda reminds me of when Priest dropped Painkiller! Was like WTF!?
It is going to be better. This was the weakest of the lot.
for real this is the new Hit the lights for the new generation :) I like it a lot! Its a goddamn nice song :)
you are for sure damn right!
Damn i love that song so much, can't wait for the Album. 🤘

wow! That was pretty killer. I'm a fan from way back. Kinda stopped following them after St Anger. Death Magnetic album was really good though.
I love the lyric when he says all generations he is including up to today's generations I love it
This song is about being at a show together and United!
I really enjoyed that. Hoping for a good album.
Definitely enjoyed this surprise drop. sounds inspired by KillEmAll and a little garage days ish and I’m here for it

If you didn’t listen past st anger , you should really check the last 2 albums as some songs there , are as good as old songs!!!
I will have to check it out thank you!
Great reaction and song 🤘🤘🤘
great song, old school Metallica that i love
Where did they pull this one from??? I'm 56 years old and bouncing round the house to this. Great song.
Me too I'm 50 been a fan for decades. Music sucks today.
Finally some good production !!!
This song i remember to Wiplash🤘🏼
When the screen goes red at a minute 47. They got me in the feels
I like the way they exhausted their reds!
This song alone had Kill Em All vibes and this song in particular is like the spiritual successor to Hit the Lights.
Don’t know what I’m more excited about… new Metallica music or the fact that pantera is going to open for them at cowboy’s stadium
rock will never die 🤘😆

This is a combinación between hit the lights ando wiplash. Bien metallica for now
For them to be pushing 60 they sound really good
damn right!
Anyone remember the metallica logo for hardwired, how it looked fractured? Is it me or do these laser/lighting effects look similar?
Spot on kill ‘em all guitar tone . Very nice .

2022: New Metallica song...
Everyone: 😮!?
Metallica is back! Punkmetal! 🤘🔥
Cyneward, I love this new song. If you haven’t listened to Metallica since st anger, give Death Magnetic a listen. You won’t be disappointed 😁🤘🏻
Def something I will have to check out for sure!
Death Magnetic is their most complete album.
I saw one person say it sounded like Motorhead. I think that's very accurate. Maybe that's why it sounds like Garage Days.
I like it.
The drums in the middle and towards the end sound a lot like Overkill by Motörhead. Probably an intentional nod to one of their biggest influences, and they played it a few times during the big 4 shows.
You can hear some heavy Motörhead influence in this song
You need to check out Death Magnetic and Hardwired.
"People will headbang"
I'm guessing you totally missed out on "Death Magnetic" and "Hardwired...to Self Destruct."
this is much better than those two.
You really should listen to the last album hardwired. It’s as good as the old stuff
Please listen to dark version of the song can't help falling in love by Diana Ankudinova
It's got diamond head written all over it
Wish the bass was a tad bit louder but Metallica are never about the bass even when they had Cliff it was still a low mix. Great song let’s hope the album sounds good too
Du pur Metallica 🤘🤘🤘
I was gobsmacked on how good and old school it was. Lyrically it was ho-hum...but that's not what M is known for.
Metallica: "Excuse me, who are you again?"
Megadeth: >:(

Not to bad yeah I'm with you I grew up with Metallica kinda lost interest in them but this isn't bad thanks for the reaction great job keep it up
I'm going to assume we should expect some new Megadeth too it seems that Megadeth and Metallica seem to compete with each other lol
The song, production, James' voice and the guitar tone are all good. I couldn't say all those things for the last two albums.
