I like how you have text overlay to show important info like wrench sizes, torque settings, etc. Makes it easy to pause video to make note of important details that are shown as text, rather than rewinding to figure out... "what did he say?".
is it me or are his videos soothing af?
Thank you for this video - you have saved me a ton of time in figuring out how to get to the upper strut mounts! And I really appreciate that you put the torque specs in the video too!
My legacy probably wouldn’t be on the road if it wasn’t for your awesome videos!
The only channel I specifically look for every time
I just used your video as a guide for replacing rear struts on my 2001 OBW. I had never “built” struts before, so this video was very helpful. Thanks again!
Subarus are so easy to work on. I'm doing this job this weekend on my car. I got a set of Monroe quick struts. It'll go quicker than mowing the lawn. Thanks for the video, pointers and torque specs.
Thank you for the video! Did mine today, easy enough steps provided, I just was dealing with rust and a lot of it (thanks New England!). 61k original miles, still took 1.5 hours to free, but she's done, and probably saved a few hundred dollars easily!
Every repair I watch of yours makes it look so easy, wish I had attempted this instead of paying my shop to do it :(
BTW whoever watching this and want to do on 2005-2009 Outbacks - KYB struts codes are 341443 for softer ride and 341276 (from 2002-2004 Outbacks) for more rigid. As said below - doing mine next week (341443 with Rallitek Springs on back and KYB 734034/5 AGX with 20330AG13A springs on front)
The new legacies are one of the most comfy and enjoyable "Luxury" sedans I've driven, regardless the weather and road condition.
I know this is 6 years oldbut wanted to say thanks its very helpful.
Great choice with the KYB's. Installed KYB's on my SUS, the ride is much better than even brand new OEM struts. They are slightly firmer, maybe 20-25%, but gives it a sportier feel.
I find it AMAZING how you take the time to answer everybody's question Mr. Subaru , you are truly a unicorn (bearded) lol
Nice to see rust free cars to work on an no snow nice weather beautiful
"Avoid these..."
You should call your videos the "Subaru Masterpiece Theater". Excellent!
If anyone has to use an angle grinder to cut through the lower nut because it's frozen solid, be very careful not to slip as the park brake cable is right above it. Thankfully it wasn't the cutting wheel that hit it.
Common tools gets the work done thanks for showing that
Oh I see, but you are my idol no matter what. I learned a lot from you. Thank you keep the video coming.
