Oooooh! I love those colors and the rises are beautiful!!! Thank you sooooooooo much Marsha! I’m so glad you will be a part of my project! ❤️💕❤️
You are so welcome!🥰
Oh yeah I am so excited you will be sewing 🧵 i am so glad you liked the book and shared the flowers those colors are perfect for Cindy.
I look forward to the sewn doll 🤩
Thank you, Caroline! I always enjoy watching you share your pretties. Have a great day!🤟🏻
Hello Marsha! I hope you had a beautiful day with your dad. I enjoyed seeing all your lovely makes
Thank you! I hope you have a great week.🥰
I bought a sewing machine a few years back and it is still sitting in the box! Lol… I know I’ll get to it one of these days. L O L. I look forward to your inspiration.
The mouse and the dino are so cute! So far, I’m not too excited about the chenille I bought from the dollar tree. I made a few flowers to send to Cindy also! Big hugs, my friend! ☺️💖🫶
Thank you, Jo!! Open that box and sew along with me. 🥰
I always used my paper scissors to cut the pattern paper. Never cut paper with your "cloth" scissors! When My daughter was growing up I made all her clothes, plus her dresses for formals along with all my clothes. I made tons of dolls. That pattern you got is tempting me to make one. Now a days I do make quilts and table runners, but, mostly, I am making amigurumi or card making.
Thank you for that info!! It’s exciting to hear back from another seamstress. Have a great day!!🥰
Every make you have is adorable! That mouse is going to be so precious. When you said to put the flowers on a pin for a denim jacket I got nostalgic for the 80s - I had a pin like that! Lots of love from the Pacific Northwest 🧡
Oh, thank you! I am an eighties lady. 😁🎶 Have a great day!!🤟🏻
We’ve had that thinner yarn at our Dollar Tree for a couple of months. I’m really hoping that they aren’t discontinuing Premier Chenille!
My local has not carried the Just Chenille for over a year. 😒 Have a great day! 🥰
Hot take - I'd trim the pattern pieces with regular scissors, pin them to the fabric, then with fabric scissors I'd cut through the excess tissue paper as I cut out the fabric. There are not many patterns I used twice, and if need be, I could always go back and mount the pieces to poster board. I did pick up a scissors sharpener at some point. Don't worry - the sewing police aren't going to come a-knocking! 😆 Have a lovely weekend, dear friend! 💓💓
Thank you, Mary! That is what my mama did. I am always up for tips. Have a great day!🥰
awesome makes!!
Thank you! 🥰
I made the Diddy Dex hand-held dragon and the Mama Made Minis lovey dino and the fawn. So fun. Next time i will definitely look at your video for the surface bobbles for the dino. That would be so much better since the Premier Parfait Chunky yarn seems to fall apart when trying to make small magic circles. I love all your makes. Your mouse is going to be so cute. 😊
Yay!!! All such cute makes!! Thank you!! I appreciate you being here!🥰
I spray-glued my paattern pieces to file folders then cut them out. I then trace the pieces onto fabric. I do this if I think I'm going to reuse the pieces, like with doll clothes.
A great idea! Thank you!🥰
You should try using the new chenille pink yarn to make Fabrizio the pig. I love that pattern and it is a free pattern on Ravelry.
I will have to check it out!! Thank you! I appreciate you being here! ✌️🏻🤟🏻🧶
One tip from my sewing teacher, never cut the original tissue paper pattern. First, iron the tissue paper sheets with medium heat, then place cardboard underneath the tissue paper, and using transfer paper copy the patterns on the cardboard. In that way you will have sturdy forms from the pattern to use, keeping the original in case you need to make more copies. Since you already cut the tissue paper pattern, you still can make cardboard copies.
That's interesting. Thank you for sharing!🤟🏻
i always copied the pattern on pattern paper, that way if something damaged the pattern i i could just copy it again, the simplicity pattern paper tears really easily
That's a good idea! Thanks for the tip!!🥰
