I actually found away to use the drive assist to cut corners without losing speed with the golden fox. Sharp turns in stages like silent, port town 2 are nothing to me now. If you do it right you can even boost in these corners perfectly and gain more speed to dust your opponents
Steerimg assist looks broken at the end of red canyon, youre driving straight into a wall that wouldve normally bounced you around but the game prevents that, honestly feels like cheating aha
I use it cause for a odd reason when I drift left with the L button it sometimes don't reconize the input and I just ram into the sides. I just find this one more helpful so I won't get tossed around everywhere.

The steer is really usefull for Wild in Fire Field. What a turnroad😮.
