I just leave about 10 seconds silent while recording audio so I can get a noise profile on it and apply sound reduction in Audacity. I’m glad it’s working well! It’s really easy to do :)

That's actually really sad though, that people judge people base on the content that they make. I really sometimes question people that go ahead and do that in the comment section, Like I remember reading mean comments when you have the Pride flag on the background of your video and I was really disgusted to those people. Some people are getting s*xual on their comments too like Jeez, can you just respect the wonderful woman that is making perfect and free content for you. I question humanity sometimes. Yeah see the reason people have at this point REALLY started sexualizing ASMR (this problem has been prevalent since it’s inception but worse now) is because of the women who DO use it as a sexual piece of content. Prime example is ANY ASMR on twitch will be sexually driven. And it’s really easy to find the same content on RUclips. Those creators then create a certain stigma to the ASMR community that gets put on creators who don’t do it. I think it’s a serious problem to be honest.

I dont support lgbtq or trans or anything, and its kinda pointless imo, but i agree people shouldnt hate or anything. I kinda hate the whole thing, because i think its wrong and confusing, and just triggers me, but i dont directly send hate at them. I just keep distance because it will get no where arguing over whats what. I can already feel people getting ready to blast me in the comments rn but thats their fault for thinking their opinion is more or less valuable.
31:30 I cannot express enough how powerful "paprika" was. I listen to asmr the whole time i work, and tingles are pretty low most of the time because of that, but it's at least enough to keep me focused. But good lord when you started the 'paprika' trigger, the tingles went up to 100 and I had to stop everything I was doing. Absolutely incredible.

I also hate that people think ASMR is sexual in nature, and prefer ASMrtists that don't try to make it that way, though it is something that people do. For me it's about relaxation or to be more focused while I work. Appreciate you!
I absolutely love the "stop" and "go" part that starts around 26:10. It was super tingly! Also, I love the sensitivity of the mic without any cover and the breathy whispers are also super good so don't worry about it ☺

This is a very late comment but this is a good and tingly video!
ASMR, the medium, is named after ASMR, the physical phenomena. Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is basically the fancy name for tingles, the response is the crackles on your head/back. We mainly use the medium of ASMR to have our bodies respond with ASMR but it is also more broadly for relaxation and background noise. I think the key function of ASMR, the medium, in slime/stopmotion videos is to enhance the already satisfying visuals.
As for the Mature ASMR, it is just an extension of preexisting themes and tropes in the Mature Industry, ASMR, the medium, is used to enhance and refine the ideals of other Mature Genres.
I would go into my thoughts on how the stigma felt by ASMRtists is them being included in the societal tendency to assign Maturity to something in a way to moralize disliking all forms of the thing, regardless of the things real proximity to Maturity, but I've been typing long enough 😅

ASMR for me it's just a way to relax and get distract from thoughts before sleep, I don't even look to the screen, your content it's perfect for that, you shouldn't care about "other categories"... Be here for those who enjoy your essence, forget those who are rude to your art..
I don't really get tingles or haven't yet, I personally like your noises and giggles, triggers and story telling. It puts me right to sleep and I usually stay asleep. So if that's what you are creating for, it works for me. I also like slow heavy breathing for some reason, hearts beating. None of it really turns me on, so that's not what I get from it. It sooths me, relaxes me and helps me sleep and stay asleep. So thanks for that. Keep it up I'll listen. Don't let trolls ruin your content, or hurt your enthusiasm. More stories, and for me you don't need to hide your breathing. Maybe a heart beat video? If you do that sort of thing. Just saying keep up the good fun. Thanks

I feel you with the COVID thing. We’re extremely careful in my family because we have immunocompromized people who would be badly affected by the virus. Especially with the uptick in contagiousness and quadrupling of cases as of late, it’s hard to believe it will ever get better. I guess we can only do the best we can.

The onomatopoeia idea is genius! I like the word lick turning into lick and tongue fluttering.
idk where id be without asmr, it got me thru really shit times. something about the comfort of being 'with' someone with no social obligations on your part while they try to relax you is therapeutic. its like a massage for the brain, and maybe thats the reason why its sexualized in the same way massages are, because its intimacy with a stranger whos often a girl and sexually attractive. its easy for the male brain to take it there i think.
this is tmi but i remember watching show where karl pilkington trys weird shit and one of the things was a cuddle party, its suppose to release endorphins. anyway the girl explained if the guys get excited its pretty much okay and everyone ignores it. so there is that weird zone there, thats atleast how i dont hate on the more sexualized asmr. if its still relaxing then so what especially if the asmr artist is cool with it.

To anyone reading this, I know things have been difficult lately and no one has told you that you are capable of making through it. But no matter what happens , always remember that I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it "the terminator". First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked terminator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.
