  • Feeding fish sometimes brings some problem to our aquariums. Excess food makes the aquarium dirty, snails multiply rapidly also algae. In this video I shared how I feed enought for my mollies babies.

It is amazing how fish expect to get fed once you approach the tank! I have three tanks in service now, (1) 55 gallon tank that houses some African Cichlids, some catfish and a red tailed shark, (1) 20 gallon tank that houses offspring from some of the Cichlids ( Red Peacock ), and a 10 gallon tank that houses Platys ( that used to be fry ), 2 Mollies and a female Betta. When I approach the tank, all occupants in all 3 aquariums approach the top, expecting to be fed! I was feeding the fry ( German Red Peacock Cichlids and Sunburst Platys ) I used Wardley's Shrimp Pellets for bottom feeders because I did not have to crush the pellets, as for when the fry pick at them, they somewhat dissolve into particles that the fry can consume. It has fattened them up nicely as the Platy fry are now adults ( I think a couple of the previous fry are pregnant ) after 6 months, and the Cichlid fry are now juveniles after 3 months. Now I mix their food up, ( crushed freeze dried blood worms, crushed flakes, etc. ) because the key to healthy fish is a varied diet.

My ex brother-in-law used to breed fish and had 6 turtles. He seemed to spend more time cleaning the tanks out, and washing the turtles every day, etc. It's a lot of work! I have been pet free for over 20 years. I wouldn't mind a cat but most places won't rent to you if you have pets. You need to have the space, time and commitment to be a pet owner, and it can get expensive over time. It's worth it if you find enjoyment in it.

Nice video and your big tank is also very nice , and looks healthy and natural.
You know that for the very young babies , you also can give them artemia naupliaes that make them stronger , grow faster , and later , some little red worms that increase the colours too.
Perhaps have you already seen that , but at a moment , when they are many ones in the tank that starts to be a little small , they grow slower.
Don't perhaps keep and grow so many fish , because after , you will have to know what to do whith so many ones.
The babies seem to have colours and shape , closed to the mother , that is colourfull , that's interesting as a selection of mollies.
Perhaps not all of them are "ballons"?
Perso,I prefer the classical mollies , but it is only a question of taste.
Good job ,not only for the fish , but also for the quality of this video , that stays very precise as you show very little things.
    Bravo for that too.
