I lived in Chapeltown for twenty years, I thought I knew it's history but you know far more and made it really interesting! Great work, as usual, Josh!

You should've seen it before the Tory govt abolished the Wortley Rural District Council and forced Chap under the control of Sheffield Council in 1974. They immediately gave planning permission to build on four of the five field systems and all of the green space between Chap and High Green was covered with houses in just two years. Sheffield Council absolutely destroyed our area and it's never recovered.
