- Oakland native Luis Vasquez’s The Soft Moon project is a one-man exploration into the darker sides of self-discovery that was first brought to our attention by EB.TV alumni Trentemøller. He's been compared to bands like Joy Division and supported Depeche Mode live, so we wanted to find out more about this intriguing artist and experience his show at SchwuZ in Berlin.

I've seen them every time they've performed in chicago and they keep getting better. Actually talked to Luis before one of their shows as the opening bands were playing and he was so personable and totally cool, it just added to my infatuation of this band. I swear hearing the Soft Moon is flashing me back to being a new wave kid back in high school of the late 80's early 90's listening to Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242

@@conceptuallyugly530on Friday I just found out too. My plan for Friday was to listen to The Soft Moons last 3 album in full as I relax and smoke some. All day I've been so into his music. Also been watching all his interviews. RIP Luis. Fantastic music, all 5 of the albums.
