    "Madame Claude. I would like to see the entire line. I may just buy out the store". The Champagne certainly brightened Sue Ellen's mood.

    "Leave the bottle, Henri" - LOL!
    She KNEW ol girl was a DRUNK. After a few drinks, she may buy the whole shop. Especially if she's mad enough at her husband.

    And, just like that, Sue Ellen "suddenly" found herself in the mood for shopping. LOL

    What else do I have but the Ewing name and JR's money?
    Great line, Sue Ellen!

    One of my favorite scenes in the whole series. Earlier she calls room service and tries to order a bottle of vodka and ice and is told that JR told them not to send any alcohol to the room. "Damn him" she says. Later she shows up at the hotel and tells JR "I tried today to spend all your money but you just have too much of it".

      My thing is, did SE really think JR would remain faithful for the long haul after the 2nd wedding? 2 things that should've stayed w/her...the fact that he had an affair w/her own sister & that he slept w/Afton on her (SE's) own bed!!

    it is actually the 6th season but on the dvd it is referred as season 7 because they used the first 5 dallas shows from the original miniseries as season one.

    Does it seem strange that during the 1983 - 1984 season, that they used motion picture film for this season and not tv film. In way 1983 - 1984 season had better film quality than the 1984 -1985 season. They really used cheap film quality during the Donna Reed season. It was like the film quality was not sharp or clear. The episodes looked so old looking, even when the season first aired. To me the best film quality that Dallas had was the 1986 - 1987 season. The last two seasons seemed fuzzy and blurry.

      Jason Gibson The early season looked so much like it was done on 35mm film and bordered low budget and sometimes soft porn style. Great show overall.

    • @MrCraigblaze
      @MrCraigblaze 4 года назад

      Yes but between 1984-86 The show spent money on Trvillia..And I had heard that people tell Donna Reed she look's Awful.. XD

    • @jaredjlinden
      @jaredjlinden 3 года назад +1

      The show was always shot on 35 mm film. However, starting with the 1986-87 season, it was dubbed down to videotape in order to edit it. That became an industry standard at the time because it saved money, but it caused lots of headaches for shows that the studios want to release in HD. The later seasons of Cheers were shot on film and edited on video, so CBS had to go back to the original film elements and reassemble them to be able to show it in HD. Every once in a while, you’ll see a brief Cheers scene where they couldn’t find the original source material and it’s a bit fuzzy.
      This season of Dallas, the 1983-84 season, looked particularly great because they hired Bradford May as the cinematographer. He lit the sets as if they were movie sets and show wide angles and the show looked fantastic. He was inexplicably let go with a couple of episodes left in the season and the show went back to its regular, cheaper look.

      I liked the scenes filmed in Pams house. Lighting seemed natural, elegant and realistic. I’ve heard there were complaints with the lighting techniques around that time but like imo some of the scenes looked classier. For instance, the scene where JR pays Pam a visit at her house

    linda gray,or i should say Sue Ellen looks terrible here
    Linda was right on with the drunk scenes.

  • @jaredjlinden
    @jaredjlinden 13 лет назад +4

    Nobody on that show could play drunk like Linda Gray (well, except for maybe David Wayne as Digger).
    Though I can't blame Pam for being a nag - I seem to remember J.R. giving her hell when she brought Sue Ellen home, drunk.

      Jared Linden Yes. JR was none please. And Sue Ellen makes the comment about him being attentive or something when he gets caught with his boots parked under someone else’s bed. 🤣

  • @ItThats
    @ItThats 12 лет назад +2

    Yeah, Pamela had an accident. Blame the nag. I blame Sue Ellen for being dumb for so many years by sleeping, marrying and remarriyng one of the most devious mans that drove her life nuts. Plus she never recover from it. Not even in the last seasons. Pamela wanted to have a regular life with her husband that despite of loving her was half of the time competing with JR and in Ewing Oil, wich he never liked it! And more:she never liked it either but supported it and living with a man that hated her

      Sue Ellen married JR for his fame and money. When she got bored with that she became a drunk and a tramp. Both times she was pregnant she was not sure her husband was the father for crying out loud.

  • @ItThats

    clearly Sue Ellen knew how to have fun. turning herself into an alcoholic. have you seen Miss Ellie, Donna or Jenna having this kind of fun? Sure if I was beside an alcoholic who was injured by an accident and so, I would be concerned. Blame Pamela for that
