What you are describing with the way Ateez did the drops are called anti-drops. Its one of my favorite things in Kpop. Ateez does it a lot and so does Stray Kids.

Ateez are known for their last 30 seconds, every song every time. It's where they stop singing and just dance their hearts out.
I hope Roscoe sometime in the future reacts to the Kingdom version of Wonderland, that performance is so good, I'm sure he'll fall in love even more with Ateez.

The dance to the second time the chorus comes along is so smooth and gives me chills every time, but Mingi's part in the end where they go off also gives me chills.
Now that you've seen the MV and making of, you should find their performance of Wonderland for the show Kingdom: Legendary War. They make some changes to it musically and the stage performance is just SO FUN.
you truly summed up why ateez is and always be my ult group so well. everyone at KQ are absolute geniuses and the love for what they do really shows thru in their mvs.
and YESS the anti-climaxes are always so satsfying. its a big part of exactly why their songs feel like they go so hard - edenary love subverting our expectations by throwing in something completely different and unique. 'horizon' and the end of 'take me home' are really great examples of this - both of those songs completely blindside you in the best way.

You phrased it perfectly. They have this build up, and then they keep it steady and keep it going and your hoping for this release of pressure but it doesn’t happen until like the last 30 seconds of the song. They do it all the time and they leave you breathless and wanting more. It’s so satisfying. If you haven’t checked out their Outlaw album yet, it will BLOW YOUR MIND. 🤯

There are no music videos, but I feel like you would enjoy their songs Cyberpunk and New World. New World especially has that drop thing you were talking about. You can watch a live performance or a lyric video. The choreography for Cyberpunk is next level.
You should watch the live MAMA awards performance of Wonderland. It's a great mash-up. Also watch the Wonderland performance from Kingdom: Legendary War. Pirates! So happy to see you watching Stray Kids and Ateez. Both are kings of the 4th generation of KPop.
Yunho is *extra* sweater champion because he is in all ways a Golden Retriever puppy that ended up in a tall human somehow. Puppy isn't a stage name, they skipped doing those (thank god becuase we've seen the list and some are so bad), it's just a nickname because he's genuinely just a big puppy. Which is extra funny because he's a dog in a group of cat boys. Like they all have their own animals (and San and seonghwa are still both cats), but as a collective they're cats (literally in Black Cat Nero)
Hongjoong did have the two braids, not a rat tail, sadly, it's the same braids he was playing with at the beginning of the video. Also they are fake extensions, the others stole them occasionally to play with them. Same with Seonghwa's long emo bang, which somehow none of us at the time realized were extensions somehow, not till the video where Jongho stole it to mess with him, because when you actually look at them they're not blended well at all.
Hongjoong has a LOT of ear piercings, and that was even after he let a few close because they would bother his in ear on stage. The eyebrow wasn't actually a piercing, real or fake, but he had small x in his eyebrow, and they put small stones there to highlight it, it looks really cool in pictures
I'm glad you've watched some non music video content too, to see what the members are actually like, because while they're all intense and serious while performing they're all goofy and silly nerds that share a collective 3 braincells in reality.

You should react to their Don’t Stop MV! It’s very different from their other ones because it’s not part of their regular MV lore. It’s like a mini heist movie. The song is good too!
Roscoe!!!!!!! You're so right with the Fortnight theory. Thank you for explaining that. That's exactly the way I feel everytime I listen to Wonderland and Halazia. By the end of both songs I'm clenching my fists and I feel like I'm ready to battle and join them on the pirate ship with Wonderland or help them fight to free the people with them in Halazia! Every single time I listen. You need to watch their concerts that feeling is times thirty and I'm not even there.
On tangent, Halazia makes me hopeful while Guerilla makes me rebellious! 😅
My favorite thing is when reactor discover Ateez and realize how epic they actually are. BTS is the GOAT but Ateez is such a gem to discover if you appreciate intense performance and epic concepts.

It’s called an anti-drop! And ATEEZ are the KINGS of it. They build and build and build then when you expect the drop to happen, the song turns (yes!). The real drop always happens at the end of the song when they build up to the big dance break! They leave the very powerful part of their performances to the end because their dance is so explosive and so complicated they’d expend all of their energy if it happened in the middle. It’d leave nothing left for the rest of their performance.
To get a FULL feel of the energy they bring, I HIGHLY recommend their performance of Wonderland from the show Kingdom. It’s like a movie all on its own and it’s 100% live!

This song has a special place in my heart as this is the song that got me into Kpop and Ateez.

I am a Staytiny with all my heart and this is exactly the reason why! Both groups just roasting with every fucking song. They literally go so hard! But also love their softer songs. Sunrise, Horizon and Turbulence for example! I also recommend to listen to softer stray kids songs especially on Live One Take. they are also very versatile.
You should really watch some of the Kingdom performances. They were all soo good. Stray Kids also did amazing on Kingdom.

I love "wonderland" but since watching Kingdom I prefer the "Symphony #9" version that they made.
You know how this feels like…pirate-y thanks to the sorta 6/8 feeling 4/4 time signature? (tbh it could be conducted either way so idk which it truly is, i’m rusty) SO THEY HAVE A PIRATE-THEMED PERFORMANCE OF THIS!!!! I recommend “Symphony No 9 From The Wonderland (full version)” (not to be confused with “full cam” 😭 ugh these titles are confusing). When your commenters are referring to “Kingdom performances,” this is one of the videos we mean! They rearranged this song ^^^ you just listened to and mashed it up with Dvorak’s symphony no. 9, and it’s SO DELICIOUS.

You were close with the Fortnite thing, but within the last month, ATEEZ visited Riot Games in America and people suspect a League of Legends collab of some sort coming. (A bunch of the guys play LoL on their days off.)
