Cheers spence!!!
Hey. Great video. It's especially interesting to me as I live in a ground floor flat and I'm currently trying to get permission from the free holder to install an EV charger on the outside wall of my flat. However, even if I can get permission the cable run from the consumer unit to the outside wall is a bit of a pain. It would need running through an airing cupboard then through the bathroom behind the toilet and behind the bath then through the wall into the kitchen underneath the kitchen cabinets just to reach the outside wall. Do you think that cable run is safe and do you think a high tough cable would be ok or would armoured be better?
I would use 6mm twin and earth internally or hi tuff, then swa outside if it’s hurried or hi tuff if not buried
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 Thanks. I could actually go through the wall directly into the back of the charger. I would need load balancing though. Only a 60a main fuse so I was thinking of the EV ultra cable.
17:37 ONE MORE SCREW THERE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH im crackng up.
You wanna see Anderson A2 which is the worst for screws
also id of likes to of seen your connections on the outside of the house ;-p
Great video, but please sort out low Mic audio, as the music volume is to loud and you can hardly hear you, thank you
Thanks for the feedback, the music on the earlier videos was way too loud I agree
I live in.a ground floor flat(owner). It is a leasehold. I have just got an EV. I will speak to them on Saturday. Do you know how this is handled and if your customer place is leasehold? Thanks
You need to talk with the owner of the freehold
Great video. Good work... Keep it up!
Thank you for your comments any feedback appreciated
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 I would like to see more videos of installations of car chargers. Maybe an Anderson in the future. Keep up the good work!

Hi, did you do a training semiair with myergery or did you self train the appartus, Good job
I learned through many phone calls to myenergi technical
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 thanks for reply , we get loads of askes to do EV jobs , didnt know whether to do training or like you suck it and see , Have done the C&G course which was pants really , Good work BTW
Would they have not had to get permission from the free holder’s for this work to be carried out?
Yes Peter good point, the politics can be quite tricky, once the quotation has been accepted we send a method statement for freehold approval
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 I was was surprised the freehold agreed to that. Regards. Barry.
It is probably shared freehold and if the other properties are going to want to do something similar - it makes sense to say yes.
👍
Thanks for the support dan
Goodness - what a total hassle.
Petrol really is so much easier 🙈🤦♂️
But think… once it’s installed you’ll never need to wait at a petrol
Station again, personally i am a jay Leno petrol car enthusiast
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 The only people I know who have electric cars have all run out of juice and had to be rescued.
He doesn’t all seem very reliable at the moment.
