Rare vs. Scarce Vintage Baseball Cards - Is There A Difference?

- Tonight, I am joined by @Valuevintagecards-Aaron & @markhoyle2275 in a discussion and showcase of "Rare" and "Scarce" Vintage Baseball Cards. I asked Aaron and Mark to join me in this discussion since they are very much invested in collecting some of the more rare and scarce cards that are out there.
I thought it would be interesting to get their take and to get their interpretation of what they consider rare and what they consider scarce. I sometimes feel like that line between rare and scarce is blurred a bit and can be tough to differentiate.
So I ask you, is there a difference?

Rare is a way to eat a steak. I personally like medium but I knew a girl in college that liked her’s rare bordering on raw. Gross. Scarce is what I see when I open my wallet. Very scarce in the number of dollar bills in it.
Great conversation - I always thought of scarce a higher degree of rarity but I see I was wrong. Amazing cards shown by everyone

funny you should show that Tippity tip top Wag Pipes Aaron. I happen to come across that same one myself. Same grade too. Of course your rare/scare 1.5 looks much better than my low eye appeal version. It is a POP 5, with only 4 higher. Only 11 SGC graded. I'd take it over that fake ugly Spahn rookie anyday.
AND the Beautiful Stahlled Meir Campy. I got my copy from Don Fieldhouse of dreams in Strongsville last year on tilt.🤣🤣😂 Great segment & great collections fellas introducing all these scare cards to the you tubey crowd

RARE! Everything was rare when I was a kid on the West Coast. The right price was also rare for the condition. I started early on vintage, but never got any good ones. Stupid regional issues worth nothing I could never get when the price was right.
