I have been working with my piano teacher to learn chords and play for church but I just wasnt catching on to the improvising part (after 10 plus years of piano lessons, suddenly not following exactly what to play feels odd) but after watching video it filled in all the gaps. Thanks so much!!
Cheers for this, I have been researching "learning chords on piano for beginners" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Nonason Ranincoln Genie - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to play the piano like a pro without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my m8 got amazing success with it.
Thank you so much! I watched lots of videos to help me with chords and i didnt really understand any of them but this one was so good and easy to understand
Thank you for the chord reference sheet. I have been praying for God to help me make the gift He gave me better worship. Then I found you! Praise the Lord!
Thanks for these, so practical and easy to follow along. Hi from Brisbane Australia. I love learning new techniques, especially since I was more classically trained as a child/teen but playing in church on an an irregular basis.
Great video. Thanks for using your gifts and talents to help others on the journey to developing theirs. I pray that God continues to bless all that you do according to His will.
+Jesus Christ praying for you. For God so love the world that He gave us His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Beautiful! my church plays a lot of Chris Tomlin-type, 4 chord songs that seem to be more guitar driven. do you have a video that would help me? thank you!!
hi Peter do you teach rythm pattern? could you plsgive a briefing what type of music u r teaching in your web ?? i.e ballad.... reggae.. jazz ..etc... yes of i do love ur videos.. but need to know more details
thankyou so much for this video, i really want to learn how to play and write better songs but i can’t take music lessons at school. i also have adhd, so music books are super hard for me to focus on but this video is so much easier!! 💕
I think there is a problem with you tube. I made a comment on another video which wasn't meant for you. Merci beaucoup for this. Very instructive and very nice sound.
Great Video, loved the techniques! Hate to be nitpicky, but you said D# as a passing note in the A chord when you played C#. Just wanted to post in case anyone got confused. Awesome stuff though!
That was a great video. I have been playing piano since 2 years now and one day wanna play in the church and your lessons are amazing and in detail. Thank you
i didn't get your technique because i didn't understand what you were playing with your right hand. Are you playing melody or chords with your right hand? I usually play chords with my left hand on lower octaves (bass clef) and melody (one key at a time only) on the higher octave (treble clef) and how do I create rhythm with the left hand while playing the melody part? Could you give one example like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star?
Hey, if I were to learn to accompany like you do here, which course shall I pursue, fluent chords or fluent melodic? I play piano a bit, both solo and comping, but I never got the hang of comping. I never understand how to add accent and flair to chords and make them sound good.
Good question. It's hard to tell without hearing you play, but what I usually say is start with the one you think you need and if within 30 days you decide it's not the right fit for you, we can switch you over to the other course. Let me know if you have any other questions!
miles myko njogu it doesn’t really matter the chords that are used. One thing that you could try is look up the chords for your favourite songs and just practice by using those chord progressions.
There are two Fluent Piano courses - Chords and Melodic. Chords starts off at beginner level and progresses to intermediate. Melodic starts at an intermediate level. ourworshipsound.com/fluentpianocomparison
i like what you are doing ; however, it would be more helpful to the viewer if you slowed down a bit to give the viewer time to actually see what you are doing. thank you for your time in sharing your gift
Have you tried slowing down playback in youtube? Pacing is all a balancing act between trying to hold people's attention with being clear. Sometimes I rely on the option for users to slow down playback or go back in the video if necessary. :-)
Beautiful! will have to watch a few more times. Would be very helpful if you played your example at tempo, but then slow it a little so we can see what your hands are doing. So useful, great tutorial!
+Roger The concepts are the key thing. You can take what he did in E and make it work in C. He is giving you tools to use, not an example to copy. That's why his videos are so great.
This was great, been searching for "basic chords on piano" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Nonason Ranincoln Genie - (should be on google have a look )? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to play the piano like a pro minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it
If you want to see me show off, I'll do another video. Trust me, this is not showing off. ;-) Did you know you can slow down the video playback in youtube settings?

Great video and I like the simplification. "Less is more" - That's definitely a must in worship music!

So that rhythm from the 4 min is working in any key the same way? And... I don t understand at all
Is it okey to use the melodies in this video? Got inspired!
for sure :-)

@@OurWorshipSound Thank you!
Can you tell me chords that you were playing In both hands?
suggestion for those new.. tell your listeners what chord you are playing
Kelly Delatorre hahaha were you watching with sound??? 3:52
you need to memorize the chords first before you try this lesson cause its going to be difficult for beginner.
I want to know the keys you're using take time and mentione them
miles myko njogu it doesn’t really matter the chords that are used. One thing that you could try is look up the chords for your favourite songs and just practice by using those chord progressions.

What did the 4-1 mean can you explain please???
Sure! ruclips.net/video/UOtKxqu1zAs/видео.html :-)

Without the notes in screen I don't understand (i don't speak english). Thanks!!

beautiful lesson. And I love the timbre of this particular piano: may I ask what keyboard do you have?

Thanks for the feedback! Does slowing down the youtube playback work?
It could, if I knew how! hahaha I'll get my 17 year old son to show me! Thanks!
:-) the speed setting shows when you click the gear
Yes! Thank you!
HOPE YULL MAKEACLEARER ONE AND ASLOW ONE THAT WE CAN SEE
it will be much more amazing if you could just use a C scale.
+Roger The concepts are the key thing. You can take what he did in E and make it work in C. He is giving you tools to use, not an example to copy. That's why his videos are so great.
Is E your go-to key? Eb/Cm is much more compelling.
Guitar players might feel differently!

E is the hardest key to play 😳😳
Why do you think so?
OurWorshipSound I just don’t play in E that much 😂😂 my fault really
Great job, but why don't you explain the techniques clearly and step by step???
What son is this?
Song
no song in particular, just a chord progression :-)
Slow down man with the steps so beginners can follow. Only u are used to the steps!
Why tf is everyone in the comments religious?

It just looks like you are doing some performance and not teaching. You must slow down
If you need it slower, you can slow down the playback with the gear setting :-)
This video could have been great but it just shows and not teaches...
Haha, OK
YOU ARE A GOOD TEACHER BUT YOU ARE SHOWInG OF.IF YOU ARESHOWING US GO SLOW PLEASE.BUT YOU A GOOD TEACHER,REDUCE YOUR SPEED
