Hello Jacqueline!! I'm so glad you're going to do community theatre-- such a wonderful experience for young upstart actors!! Choosing an audition songs means choosing 8-32 bars of that song, which also means choosing a set from the song that displays everything you can do with your voice. Don't do overdone things unless you're certain you can bring something new to the table! And remember-- even if you don't fit the audition's (role) criteria, you can change the casting directors' minds, because they go into auditions not knowing exactly what/who they want until they see it/them. Also, stay calm, dress nicely and neatly, be kind and walk confidently. I believe in you and so do a lot of people!! Break a leg! And thank you for being so sweet! xx ~R.
