This are great. I have a question: why the Colonels? They look great and I love how they fit the theme and feel of the period. Do yo use them as Brigade Commanders, or are they for 'rule of cool'? Absolutely love the look of this and your channel!
Thanks for the comment Nick. I use the single Colonels as rule of cool and will play no part in the battle . The brigade commanders are on round bases and they will used for measurements and commands. I want to try and re-create a large Napoleonic battle, which is very visual, and the players can feel like they are viewing the battlefield from above but really part of it.
That Looks So good on the table. How long on average does it take you to paint a stand of infantry. It feels like it takes me for ever so I am trying to get even quick paint sessions in on evenings to try and get through the army.
Thanks for the comment, I treat each stand as a miniature and paint one colour on the whole unit and then tidy up before moving onto the next colour. I am using contrast as a base and they go on smoothly. I think the Brits and Prussians will slow me down. Most of the French have greatcoats on which take either a colour of Ultramarine Blue or the skeleton one. There is also no lace just a white cross belt and a little on the pack. I try and have 3 battalions on the go at once, I am getting a little stir crazy so painted up an Imperial Fist Dreadnought just for a change lol. Enjoying your channel, how are your mates doing with their starter sets?
@@bjkernowpaintingandmodelli9119 they are just getting into it. One mate does commission painting and has been slowed down by finishing some off first. But he's got his first sprue of prussians and blucher done. My other mate is getting through his French but not sure how much he's got done yet. If we can get 1 or 2 brigades done well have a trial run of the rules and game
This is epic. Painting mine now.
@@giantorres3352 I hope you enjoy painting the French as much as I do.
