The display on the appliance will countdown from five, finishing with the default screen. The carbon filter level will be reset and the appliance is ready to use. The glass HEPA filter level will be reset and the appliance is ready to use.

After30 minutes if struggling putting them back in I realized the new filters are thicker and with leaving the carbon filters in, there is NO WAY you can reattach the new filters. It would be nice Dyson actually had directions with English that signified this. Even watching their own videos they don’t mention this change! Half hour wasted.

Good video....After a night of trying to replace the filter and it not fitting back into place, we watched your video and realized that the filter we ordered has the built in carbon. So the original "Carbon filter" it came with needs to be removed for the new filter with the built in carbon to fit.

Glad you like the fan! In my description I left the link to the genuine Dyson filter which costs a bit over $100. I also have a link to the non-genuine dyson filter which costs a bit over $40. Personally, I recommend the $40 one since I don’t see a big difference between the two except the branding.

@ArklayBear mentioned a great contender called the Winix 5500-2. It's a lot cheaper than the Dyson if you don't mind giving up the app and Alexa compatibility.

i cant figure out what causeing the dyson to not blow air... ive reset it twice back to the original settings but no luck we dont have kids, just a cat so i don't think anyone stuck something in it

You didn’t explain how to reset the carbon filter for the display using the remote. You hold night mode for 5 seconds it resets the white air filter but when you want to reset the charcoal filter you press and hold the rotation button for 5 seconds to bring the lines down on that info screen

Thumbs down only because I was trying to figure out how to release the filters from their shell pushing the buttons. You performed this critical part of the operation off screen. My button look collapsed and I can’t figure out what the buttons actually do mechanically to release the replaceable filters.
Hi - sorry but your information in this video is not correct. To remove the carbon filter, there is a small semi-circular indent on each side half-way down. You PULL on those to pop the filter out. You direct people to press down on the top at the center. This doesn’t work.
Hi Stuart, thanks for the clarification. In my experience, I found that even when pulling on those sides, as you mentioned, it can still be finicky. That’s why I found it easier to pull it down from the top. While, as you said, that is an incorrect way of doing it personally, pulling it down from the top is a better option for me when replacing the filter.

On the display I have one red indicator and one green, I've taken both out and reinstalled but I'm still getting the red and green display.
