    The way you break down how to create the structure and make it flow well and the different rhyme schemes is crazy. Has helped me so much! 🙏 By far the best "how to rap" channel I've come across.

    You put yourself behind bars, serving double time
    A double meaning for a rapper who relies on rapping fast to their detriment lol

    • @Nhmusicoffish
      @Nhmusicoffish 2 года назад +2

      The serving completely ruins the bar. If it was doing double time, it would make the punch ten times better as it means “doing” time while going faster and “doing” that.

    This video breaks down my whole rap style. Great job bro! U definitely get it! I help artist i record improve their songs by helping them adjust syllables, vowels, etc. So much of crafting a verse is in the editing u do in the writing process

    • @RappingManualYT
      @RappingManualYT  2 года назад +2

      Very true, writing is editing as one writer once said. I heard that Eminem takes weeks, sometimes even months to go through his bars and perfect his syllable composition. Kudos for helping artist man, thank you for watching. : )

    Two months ago I didn't know what doubles were, now I'm watching a video on how to make them 😂 I just find it kinda funny how fast things have escalated and how excited I am about this. I feel like a kid at Christmas, but I'm almost 31. 😂
    I've been listening to rap over the years, yes, but it never quite made sense to me. (Then Knox Hill's Metal Mondays led me to his other videos and then to Hi Ren and Ren's music in general and now rap is starting to make sense to me with other artists as well. Something just clicked in my brain, I'm still kinda baffled about it myself.)
    I'm a metalhead at heart. In metal, there are metaphores in lyrics, but they're quite not the same thing as doubles. They're more like symbols. I.e. my favourite band Katatonia loves to put birds in almost all their song lyrics and art work, even their logo has a bird. The birds in question usually refering to crows, the symbol of death. But often they can be interpretated as any other bird as well, bringing in other possible meanings to the lyrics. That's the kind of symbolism and metaphores I'm used to.

    I respect your grind but I also respectfully disagree with your approach to writing music. You basically are letting the rhyme words or the scenario that you have chose write your song for you and this would only be used as an exercise. The ideal way to write music is to actually have something to say and use these tools which you have listed to say the thing which you are actually trying to say not just say random things that sound cool. But hey, I'm nobody
