I connected motors to gears in front that are driving the fake engine (multiple 16 teeth gears). Result was unfortunately useless, the tension was too big to move such heavy model. I suggest to check my v3 or v4, they have also links to rebrickable in description, where you can find instructions how to build it
@@RareGamayun I think I have seen those. I was really hoping to make all the features work on the defender. Shifting, high/low, 4x4, and drive. I thought I saw someone do it, but have not been able to find it again. Most likely I will be going with yours. Lol.
As you can see, I made it but it was uselessly slow and weak. On fastest gear it was unable to move due too much fruction in gearbox. I dont think it is anyhow possible to make almost 3 kg lego model with that many gears motorised without breaking anything
How did you manage to power this ? To what gear I mean did you tap onto, any advice would-be great. Thanks.

@@RareGamayun no I don't think so either. I just had my hopes way to high is all. Didn't want to let go of it lol.
@@RareGamayun do you have video of the v3? I have the parts for v3 but not for v4.
