The truth is this: I use it everyday and sometimes get lost in its quality. When I hear the others, they sound different - and great. Buy the 87 just remains on a different level.
Woow nice to see the Sennheiser here! I have seen it plenty in live music work but not many people talk about it. It's a great 'in your face' sound if you are into that. I recently acquired the Lauten Audio LS-208 as it was 44% off in Europe in a few stores. It reminds me a lot of the MK8 but in an end adres mic. Great comparison!
They all sound pretty amazing, but that U87ai is something really special.

Thanks for being here on the channel! Mk8 definitely hits above its weight class
How do you post process a microphone? I'm really new to this.
You process its sound recording after the fact... OR ... can process it in real time with something like an Apollo or Revelator, or Rodecaster.
my local shop sells an u87 for about 2000$. is it worth it going all out for that or buying a tlm for 1000$?
wow. brand new? might wanna check on the legitimacy of that. they're pretty standard at 3200 or 3600 everywhere
no not new but not old and in amazing quality from a verified seller@@HomeStudioPro
