The Haynes book says there is another adjustment towards thevrear of the front seat too, by removing the underside plate.... And adjust at the joint of front and rear seats. Have a look Dave 👍 and that the rubber blocks need to be turned around.
Thanks for the great advice ! I had lowered the seat by inverting the rubber blocks sitting on the frame. It gave me a lower position on the bike which wasn't comfortable anymore , I kept sliding forward toward the tank. Until today!!!! thanks for pointing out the 2 slider brackets with the 2 positions available. on inspection mine were on the low set up since I owned the bike. I set them on the high setting and now I've a very comfortable seating position. The high setting on the brackets does not increase the height of the seat as it only lifts the nose of the seat.
You could also lift the "L" shape rear support and rotate 180º those 4 rubber lower spacers, in order to hold the seat against the motorcycle frame. Thats the standard way to lift the seat.
@@rodneyhull9764 try to check here; www.manualslib.com/manual/826775/Suzuki-Gsf1250.html?page=678#manual The complete procedure on Page 678. Its the service manual for GSF1250 , but the seat its same as my GSX1250..
If you take off the font plastic cover you need to drop the metal bracket down a hole to rise the rear of the front seat. Also if you look under the front yoke under the handle bars there are spacers you can raise the handle bars a few mill.
Excellent video for me anyway as I am short and I’ve got lover dog bone arms on the rear and also done a few adjustments to the seat and works wonders. So you guys or girls of your shirt like me then get the bike lowered and get the seat done to. Thanks for your video
Don't forget to split the two seats, two nuts and two bolts at the rear of the front rider seat. Then undo the two nuts holding the joining bracket to the front seat and move it up or down as required. Adjusting just as shown in the video can make the seat difficult to take on or off. Or just buy a Haynes manual and read the instructions there
I'm 5.7 someone said 1250 would be to big because of short legs lol .I can adjust seat .. your comments would be appreciated. Also been told .these pull front up easy . .
@@davetompkinsmotorcyclevlogger no there is no way to adjust my seat, it’s the standard seat ‘99 bandit, and it’s just plastic and rubber underneath .. maybe I look for a new seat
It shows halfway through, might be due to me watching on my phone. I'm picking my first GSX1250 up Friday and was looking at a peg lowering kit but I think raising the seat might save me some cash.
@@VanWaden thanks for watching and your support good luck with your new bike, they are great take a look at my fuel one you will be amazed with the end result 👍👍
Mate you are a star. I have bandit from 11 years and in Suzuki dealer they told me it is not possible to set higher a seat. Thanks for this video.
Your welcome 🙏 please share Evan to one person to help my channel thank you 👍
