- Our hearts are full and so is Charles’ mailbag! Charles shares stories about the most adventurous things he’s ever done, including whitewater rafting at Dead Man’s Rock with Link, and hang gliding over Grandfather Mountain in the 70s. Plus, Charles talks about being in multiple natural disaster evacuations, in which he, of course, did not evacuate, and gives advice to a couple seeking help in keeping the romance alive. C’mon and have a good time with us!

Welcome to Dispatches From Myrtle Beach! Link Neal and his father Charles Neal are practically identical, except they live thousands of miles apart from each other. Dispatches From Myrtle Beach brings the honest and often hilarious conversations between a tight-knit father and son team, as well as an inside look at the Neal family dynamic. Every Thursday, listeners will get to have the intimate experience of hearing a call between Link and his dad, but it’s not just Myrtle Beach we’ll be hearing about- it’s everything under the (Southern) sun.

I absolutely love that we get to experience Charles telling Link stories that he's never heard. It really builds a strong connection and sense of closeness which is not something podcasts typically bring.
He picked the whitewater rafting over the hang gliding as his best adventure because Link was there 🥹
hearing charles tell link stories is top tier, whether he’s heard it a thousand times before or if it’s a new found core memory. i love listening to elders go on & on about their experiences in life. they never steer you wrong ❤
this is so comforting to just listen to both of your voices - especially Charles, he just is so soothing sounding somehow
I love these conversations. They're so good-feeling and cheerful
Okay this started wholesome and then Link immediately asked the questions I need to know... Like how much debauchery is happening at these SOS dances 😂
As a fellow Bermudian, it was so much fun hearing our island shouted out! Yay Bermudian mythical/myrtle beasts!
In the craziness in this world...
It's nice to take a mental break with you two. 😊❤
Ima say this again. Charles Neal has got so much game to give!
He's the shag master
link calling charles sharp and then it takes charles like a whole min. of babbling and mumbling to get anything he wanted to say out LOL
My family used to go to Grandfather mountain all the time when I was younger. We used to watch the hangglider's every time we went. I assume they still do it. Would love to go back and watch again sometime. I could never do it though. lol
I love listening to fellow NC natives talk. It’s so calming and reminds me of home
I’m not a native North Carolinian, but I love your state partially for that reason, and I am so glad I moved here.
You have to talk about this on another channel because I had no clue this gem existed and I’ve been HOWLING for the past week since finding it
❤ you two & always looking forward to the next podcast 😊
Grandfather Mountain, NC!!! I went to Grandfather Mountain and Chimney Rock with my family when we went to Ridgecrest when I was 5 years old. This was in 1970. We went to see the sights one afternoon when we had free time. We were wading in the waters at the top of the waterfall and I slipped and fell in. Thank God there was a sort of fencing at the top and that my parents reacted quickly and grabbed me up!!!
Omg I'm hyped for another Dispatches to help me make it through 2 more dumb workdays ❤
Awesome job boys with the podcast .
I didn't know this! This first time i knew about this channel. Subscribe!
Did Link reference Fried Green Tomatoes with his cling wrap idea?
Best part of my Thursday!

I fell 10 feet and could’ve died but instead I grabbed a rail and broke my arm. Thank god. I cannot imagine falling 40 feet! Thank goodness you are here to tell the tale Mr. Neal!
