I just wanted to say that we all have different descriptions for saying or doing things , you know what you call knitting as l would know what you said to be true but does it really matter when the fact that this person has shown us this beautiful pattern so sometimes we have to remember to respect the fact that its the most important part, the different ways people pronounce things or the beautiful pattern that has been shared with us ❤🎉

No such thing as "crochet knit." Knitting is done with two sharply pointed NEEDLES. Crochet is done with a single HOOK. They are two different crafts - and crochet hooks are properly held in a PENCIL grip - NOT the overhand knitters' grip. That is the reason for the indentation on the barrel. Also - massaging an unmarked skein of yarn is not very helpful. Like other crochet tutorials - can you not show the yarn label, so we can know the brand, colour and SIZE ?!? No point in showing the size of the hook - without also showing the size of the yarn.
There's no "proper" way to hold a crochet hook other than what works for the individual. I'm an overhand holder and have done loads of crochet over more than 40 years. You can't be that rigid. Everyone is different. The stitch work is very interesting and as an old hand I'm always open to new styles & techniques.
Wasn’t very nice of you to “critique” her hook holding, the yarn etc. She is showing a stitch. You can use any yarn, any hook you feel appropriate. Sorry she did not live up to what YOU thought she should do. I suggest you move on and check out another RUclipsr. Oh and by the way, most other countries translate crochet as knitting.

That’s absolute rubbish! I’ve been crocheting for a long time and my mother taught me to crochet holding like a knife not a pencil. I knit a different way as well, there is no right or wrong every individual has their own way and over the course of my crochet and knitting life I’ve seen some very strange ways but I would never tell them it’s the wrong way. What if the crocheter or knitter had two missing fingers and couldn’t do it the way you say? I found your comment very disingenuous to say the least. Like one commenter said keep on scrolling by or go to another channel where the person holds the hook the way you like it…..some people!
