I’ve used a 1tb passport hardrive for 6 years but until now didn’t really think of buying another hard drive for double the security to back things up. Definitely going to utilize this 🤔
dude I rarely comment on posts but this was the most down to earth and easy to follow along video i've ever watched and you literally gave us everything we needed to know. love it bro keep it up and your at 234 subs man lets gooo!
Talk about short but informative. I learned more in your short video than I have in watching multiple videos with others "attempting" to say the same thing. I am a year into my content creation and just learning about how to store my files. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I'm not tech savvy or a content creator yet but have many screen shots piled up in separate files and devices that I may need someday just because I didn't know how else to save the data. I bought a Samsung T7 SSD too big for my needs. Buying 2 cheaper ones had crossed my mind looking back, because of my low tech knowledge and poor eyes, i don't want to mess it up. Thanks for you advice,
Good info and funny as well. Thanks for the video. By the way, everyone seems to have that big orange kind. Is that a good hard drive? Does it resist little hits? Like the one that falls over the table? Thanks for the help.
I have more hard drives on my table today I’m working with than you have in the video! Funny. I have more too. Most have 2TB and more on some. I try to use SSD drives now. I’m trying to have duplicate drives to have in separate locations. It’s a mess because it’s confusing as to what is where. I’ve been labeling everything because if the photos are difficult to find I won’t use them and if I die my kids won’t ever use the priceless family photos. I have lots of family photos to scan and reel to reel tapes to digitize. I have over a million pictures I believe. I might need help.
Thank you for keeping it simple. Im currently working on family photos. Huge project.. Can you do a video on Scanning photos and transferring them onto the external drive. I get that its simple.. But need a step by step tutorial... Please
I have the same white board! Thanks for the video , great set up you got going on, and the SOUND is phenomenal! Do you know if the LaCie external hard drive compatible with MacBook?
Thank you so much ! Yes, the LaCie External Hard Drives are compatible with MacBook. You may need to format it, but usually right out of the box it should work perfect for you! If you buy it and do have trouble, just search "formatting external drives for macbooks". : )
I've been using the same ssk 1tb hard drive & 256 gb hard drive for a hot minute and they work fine, just gotta reduce the size of the images to fit space
I have a couple 4 TB ext HD's. My problem is that Microsoft has latched on to my Pictures and I cannot escape. I do not understand why these entities feel they have full control of my property. I need to have my photos auto saved to HD when I get photos from family via email. Most of my photos are in Google pictures and it appears they have changed their policies. Please do a youtube regarding this. Thank you. P.S. I like your videos because they are clear and to the point.
Like all technology that is always a possibility. Hopefully that never happens. But there are places that can sometimes still recover that lost data for a price. But that is why i like to save stuff in more than one location.
Thank you for your reply. Maybe I’m wrong but SanDisk drive in that link looks very different from the little drive in the video that has a big “G” on it.
@@DReese247you’re correct! Those are just more expensive and harder to find. I’ve switched to the type in the link because of the reliability, accessibility and pricing.

Can I use it to save videos and pic but still be able to look at it like 10 years after?
They all have varying life spans. I would look into each one to see how long they would last.
Thank you so much! hahahahahah, nice ending, ok I am on it! LOL

Is there a hard drive that can connect to my phone so I can transfer all my photos and videos from there?
Hi. Which hard drive is it that you called your "working" hard drive.
It's the SanDisk 1TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD and is linked above in the details!
Any chance that it could stop working somehow and all the stuff inside just disapear ??
Like all technology that is always a possibility. Hopefully that never happens. But there are places that can sometimes still recover that lost data for a price. But that is why i like to save stuff in more than one location.
Thankyou
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Can you do a vid about starter kit for new RUclipsrs plsss
Do you know which hardruve saves the date/location the photo/ footage was taken and saves live photos?
All drives will work the same. Your photo/videos have the meta data of that info, so it will all be there.
What is the name/type of Drive you refer to as your “working drive”? Where can I find that and is it pretty fast with editing videos/photos?
It’s an SSD drive made by SanDisk. It’s linked above in the description! And yes the model I have listed is very fast.
