I agree lazy landlords who live off of other people's hard work can be paid less. They can maybe at least work part time instead of making a killing doing practically nothing.
The minimum wage in our country is about $2 per hour and we need minimum $5 to survive. That is why most of us live and work abroad. Regards from Bulgaria I've been watching you for some time and I'm quite impressed so to say. Your work is wonderful.
Minimum wage in Jamaica is about C$70 weekly. If you live in the city, Kingston or Montego Bay, rent can get as high as US$2000 and is sometimes quoted in US. All the videos I've seen has described how expensive it is to live in Canada but the economy is better than Jamaica and our homes, living expenses are about the same in some respects or higher. Persons will survive on minimum wage if there is no choice, right. But it's too low to really have a decent life in Jamaica. Generally, persons with minimum wage in Jamaica would rather try a different path or find some opportunity to work elsewhere.
You’re so adorable. You manage to get sufficient amount of light for your videos; doesn’t look like you film all these lessons in a basement. So double credit for the excellent job 🙏😃🙏
In the Philippines, minimum wage varies, in National Capital Regions like Manila, Makati and its adjacent cities is about Php537.00/8 hours, or approximate of $14 Canadian ($)... That's a quiet big than Provincial rate... That's the reason why I would like to work in wealthy countries like Canada... Many country men want to emigrat; regardless of its cost of living as you've mentioned in this video. I hope I could land in Canada soon.
The minimum wage is sort of 21 RMB an hour and 2420 RMB a month in Shanghai. But it is impossible to survive in Shanghai on the minimum wage. Most jobs in Shanghai pay every month. Payroll Deduction includes income taxes and EI which comes off your paycheck. So your net paycheck will probably be around 2000 RMB. Rent in Shanghai is going to be 1300 to 2300 minimum. My apartment here in Shanghai is a separated apartment and I'm paying 2300 RMB a month. If you are sharing with other people or renting one room in a house, you could pay maybe like 1300 a month or 1500 a month. Food is probably going to be 600 RMB minimum as well and 100 RMB is for cell phone costs.
After watching this episode of video, I feel very heavy. Life is sometimes not easy. We have to be kind to others around us, treat yourself and cherish today's life. :-(
Minimum wage in Ukraine is 3,700 hryvnias ( about ₴137), net wage is less than 3,000 hryvnias ( about ₴110). It’s very hard to get ahead. As far as I can see and as they say in my country, it’s wonderful to live somewhere where we are absent.
Here in Philippines,it depends on the profession and position do you have. I have a highschool classmate there in Alberta.Thank you Mark for this video .Another learnings from you
650eur/mo. net in slovenia .. and the small apartments are around 350-400 and utilities are 200 in summer months and 300 in winter for an apartment (i still live with my parents in house and ist 300 per month just in heating in winter, food cost the same as in canada gas is more expensive (like 50c per litre more), car insurance for just necessary insurance is around 500 a year and registration is based on the size of the engine, but around 300-400 eur per month for cars with 1.8-2.5l engine..for a bigger engine like 4.0 or more its 640 just on registration .. so its really hard to live like that.
Ha Minumin wage over here in the Bahamas is $250 and that's not even when National Insurance take out there money..And rent in The Bahamas is extremely high, it's the same price you would pay for mortgage a month. I wouldn't even talk about food, light and other stuff.. We don't even get tax returns and out tax is going up again in January to 15%🤦♀️
I live in Alberta, I live in a house where there is 7 bedroom 4 full bathroom with 2 laundry room and a 2nd kitchen on basement, 4 of us live there. I paid 300 dollar for my room and less than 100dollar for utilities. my 3 room mate paid 400 each since they have a bit bigger room..I spent 50dollar groceries per week.
the house is just 4yrs old..its totally new and nice. that 800 to 1000 has 2 bedroom so basically you can share it with someone else if you are still single.
My fiance lives in the Philippines and she earns $300 Canadian a month. Which is why I'm trying to bring her to Canada next year so she can earn a proper wage
Unless you're a student, don't even look at minimum wage jobs. There's a lot of jobs that pay $16-20 but are usually physically demanding like in manufacturing, warehousing, transportation and general labour.

Hello Marky! The minimum wage here in Brazil it is 954,00"reais" currency from Brazil, it is about 235.00 American dollar. But it is not enough because Brazil is so expensive and we pay much tax to government that is very corrupt. Thanks!
Rent can be a huge difference from city to city in China, the same money to rant a room in Shanghai ,where you used to live, can be used to rant a whole apartment with two bedrooms, a chicken and a bathroom in my city and you don't need to share with others if you aren't comfortble to live with someone else, but also the salary in Shanghai is much higher than here.
Hi , I am new to this challenge. Just one question: you've said that we have to save money for our retirement, then in this lesson you say that there's a retirement pension deducted from the salary. Could you please make it clear for me?. Thanks a lot
the minimum wage in egypt can be as low as 1200 egp/month that's about 70 dollars. my mom havs been working for a governmental institution for over 20 years her salary is ......130 usd/month.
That might sound ridiculous but the minimum wage in my country Iran is around 6,000,000 Rials or 7,000,000 Rials per month which is equal to around 25 dollars a month!
The minimum wage in Germany is 8,84€ thats 13.46 Canadian Dollars. I think it's enough to survive but not enough to have a nice life. Damn, 500$ for car insurance...I pay 90€ (137 Canadian Dollar) per month for my hybrid car. 👍🏻
Hi Mark. I´m from Mexico and the minimun wage is about $ 102,68 mexican pesos a day. That means 102.68/8 = $12.835 pesos an hour.1 canadian dollar equals to $14.80 mexican pesos. 12.835/14.80 = 0.8672 Canadian dollars an hour. Our minimun wage is $6.93 dollars a day!!!!. Now I feel sad :(
If I earn minimum wage of 2240 (14/hr), and don't have a car and live in sharing i.e so my expenses will be approx: Earning: 2240 - Rent: 400 Food: 300 Transportation: 150 Mobile Bill: 50 Tax: 300 Miscellaneous Expenses: 100 Amount left: 2240-1300 = 940 dollars. So even if I earn a min wage of 14 dollars and minimize my expenses, I can still save approx 900 dollars a month. Isn't that good enough for starting?
I like your videos man. I just came over to Vancouver and now make roughly 65k per year. After tax and all the costs like rental and insurance, I can barely make my earnings and costs break even. I kind of feel sad about this you know. For this amount I earn I can live a decent urban life in other countries, but really just a super basic life in Vancouver.
Minimum wage in my country, Egypt, is not officially sat by government, but is publicly known to be what is equivalent to 100 CD a month .. so miserable I know I hope one day I move to the land of maple . Salute

The thing is if minimum wage goes up it screws the hard working class. If minimum wage is 15 an hour the sawmills and Mines should go from 30 an hour to about 60 per hour to keep up with the times. It's hard physical work that makes a 30 year old feel like they are already 70 years old. I know from experience.
I live in Calgary. I am a receptionist. I make 17 an hour at my fulltime job. And 15 at my part time job. I make around 2500 a month. My rent is 700 and I share with a roommate. All my other bills add up to about the same. My student loan is massive lol
minimum wage in my country is 85 US dollars. but it is not enough for one person. for example. My family is four people, I, my wife, and 2 children. I spend minimum 400 Dollars a month for home and for a meal. If I need to buy clothes and other then I will spend probably minimum 200 bucks. the normal wage is minimum 150 USD for 1 person.

I will tell you scary things. In Russia minimum wage is about 135 $ and of course it is imposible to live. For comfort life we need to bring in your credit card about 1200$, i get in job only 800 $. Thats why i must to work in Canada like engineer in aircraft electronics.
Hi, teacher.😎 mmm, here the wage is an insult for the people, but this is another history. 🙄 I think with a minimum wage in Canada should to be possible to survive at least 2 people but with the basics for example:🤔🤔 800 rent 400 food 150 light 50 water 200 transport in bus per 2 people 100 cellphone per 2 people ------ 1700 monthly 😊🙃 If the wage is 1900 monthly is possible to survive but I think must be austere.😜 Can you please tell me if is correct my budget? please, please. Thank for the video😘😘 See you soon, take care and bye bye for now.😚😚

Now I feel sad :(
Concise
If I earn minimum wage of 2240 (14/hr), and don't have a car and live in sharing i.e so my expenses will be approx:
Earning: 2240
-
Rent: 400
Food: 300
Transportation: 150
Mobile Bill: 50
Tax: 300
Miscellaneous Expenses: 100
Amount left: 2240-1300 = 940 dollars.
So even if I earn a min wage of 14 dollars and minimize my expenses, I can still save approx 900 dollars a month. Isn't that good enough for starting?

I have a question is canada the best country for immigration 2020 ?
Hi, teacher.😎
mmm, here the wage is an insult for the people, but this is another history. 🙄
I think with a minimum wage in Canada should to be possible to survive at least 2 people but with the basics for example:🤔🤔
800 rent
400 food
150 light
50 water
200 transport in bus per 2 people
100 cellphone per 2 people
------
1700 monthly 😊🙃
If the wage is 1900 monthly is possible to survive but I think must be austere.😜
Can you please tell me if is correct my budget? please, please.
Thank for the video😘😘
See you soon, take care and bye bye for now.😚😚

How should I know then? Can you help me with that, please?
@@raed2178 There are only 3 ways to legally immigrate to Canada.1. Investor immigrant 2. High skill worker 3. Married to a Canadian citizen. Canada doesn't accept foreign degrees or diploma exception is US. Your law degree is useless in Canada. I met some Ph.D and medical doctor immigrants who have to work as taxi drivers or in kitchens so they can put food on the table.

Okay!
The minimum wage 150-200 CD. Current retirement wage is 300 Canadian dollars. It is in Russia, country which has 40 percent of the world natural resources and 33% of the world forests.
Less than 10% of general population have an income - 1000 CD. It is usually police, military, and government workers with a few exceptions like truck drivers
and pilots of airlines. But 200 friends of Putin's are very wealthy people. I guess it is something we can be proud of )))
By the way this is all based on you actually working 40 hours. Probably half of minimum wage jobs are part-time, less than 40 hours.
