In Soundtemper I bring you to all operating systems of Microsoft (not all, all but the most based ones).
Every sound of that operating system will be displayed in the video that will be published every 2 days.
This time Windows 8, it is known as a revamped operating systems which is not good received makes it that a lot of computer users won´t upgrade their system to windows 8.
About Windows 8:
Windows 8 is a major release of the Windows NT operating system developed by Microsoft. The product was released to manufacturing on August 1, 2012, and generally to retail on October 26, 2012.

- Startup - is Windows Logon.wav actually. The actual startup sound is the same as Vista/7 and located in %SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll (you'll need Resource Hacker to view, modify or extract the resources)

"beta" sounds - actually from Windows 8 Release Preview (Release Preview = Release Candidate due to the "winmain_win8rc" buildtag)

*Alarms 2 & 4 originated from Windows 8 Build 8400 actually. (It’s beta-sounds).*
Just a quick note : windows 10, 8, 8.1 uses the Vista/7 startup sound
I also hear it when my pc starts up so..
Other sounds are real ones!

actually, they dont even have a startup sound, its just a bug that plays windows 7/vista startup sound

it's actually the windows 8 logon sound (disabled by default)

Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 uses Windows Vista/7 startup sound which is disabled by default, but no shutdown.
@Jason Al Saka The Halloween EAS Fan 2021 AUTTP no windows 8 plus use windows vista/7 startup sound. You can try to enable yourself (also remember disable fast startup too)

Windows 8 sounds are generic but soothing. Also, the ring sounds are also used for Windows Phone.

This startup sound is fake, the real startup sound is the same startup sound of windows 7, but its disabled by default, this fake startup sound is from windows logon that was never used
