How to recognise LCM question and HCF
When solving statement-type problems, you can determine when to find the Highest Common Factor (HCF) and when to find the Least Common Multiple (LCM) based on the nature of the problem.
Finding HCF (Highest Common Factor):
Divisibility: When the problem involves determining the largest number that divides two or more given numbers evenly, you need to find the HCF. For example, if the question asks for the largest number that divides the given numbers without leaving a remainder, you should find the HCF.
Sharing or Dividing Objects: If the problem is related to distributing objects into equal groups or sharing items among a certain number of people so that each gets an equal share, you may need to find the HCF. This is because the HCF represents the largest size of the group that can evenly divide the total number of items.
Finding LCM (Least Common Multiple):
Time-based Problems: When the problem involves finding the time at which two or more events will occur simultaneously or at a regular interval, you may need to find the LCM. This is because the LCM represents the smallest common multiple of the given numbers.
Recurring Events or Patterns: If the problem pertains to identifying the least common occurrence of a repeating event or pattern, finding the LCM would be appropriate. For instance, when trying to find the next instance when two or more events coincide, you can use the LCM.

Convert decimal values into fraction form i.e p/q form …1)for HCF=(hcf of numerators)/(lcm of denominators)…..2)for LCM=(lcm of numerators)/(hcf of denominators) ..and u’ll get the respective answers

Even if you got 6 when factorizing 18 with 3, if you factorize again with 3 final factors will be 5,5,3,3,2 which will give 450
