I love that with trostani you can target opponents creatures which creates weird situations for your opponents. Also I had an ikra and kedis deck once and that was really fun.
I built my Izoni deck around tokens and “creatures leaving graveyard” to trigger cards like Insidious Roots. The deck can make tons of tokens really quick then cash those out with commander while triggering blood artist-like effects.
Same! Threw in some of the good LOTR food token cards as well, (Generous Ent is amazing in that deck). Chalk Outline and Soul Enervation (also from Karlov Manor) work very well alongside Insidious Roots with all the evidence gathering.
equipment is interesting. mine was all about making 2 power creature tokens, poetic ingenuity (an amazing card for it) biotransference and brudiclad. then brudiclad can turn all of them into a token copy of a big artifact like wondrous crucible
Im really surprised Izoni has so few decks. That commander is great. The deck is also very strong on its own and really pumped up with Izoni. I play it as an aristocrats/mill deck and it works like a charm. One of last cards I added to the deck is "Tato farmer" from the fallout set. It mills you a ton, fuels itself and your other landfall triggers. But the star of the de deck is without a doubt "lich's knight conquest". Brings back all your creatures very easily.
I actually have a Trostani deck and I really like the idea of threat of activation on her. But she kinda feels directionless. I do like the idea of goading people's creatures and buffing them up with double strike tho.
I had the same problem while Building trostani Didn't feel like She had any direction and the deck was coming out as a selesnya good stuff soup with no gameplan
I've played her a bit and felt the active being absurd plus the recurring the ability on attacks is pretty relevant. And it feels nice being a graveyard recycle focused deck rather than a generic graveyard reanimator/mill deck that's my two cents
I actually have a deck with Bruse and Ikra, but the reason I chose them was it let me get the most colors in a deck that I tried to limit exclusively to cards that referenced commanders (including things like Partner and Backgrounds)
Casualty sounds like fun in my Modular deck. Izoni sounds fun in my spider deck. Already using Trostani in my Naya deck. Bruse always interested me, so adding Ikra sounds great. Don't have a Dune deck yet. And Rose is in my Caesar precon. Great choices as always, Beezy.
Izoni is a BEAST and funny enough she feels like the closest thing to a perfect spider tribal commander, i based the whole deck on cards like Shelob, Lolth, arachnogenesis, etc
Except for the partner combination those are all really new commanders. And there are just so many new commanders recently that you cannot build a deck for each of them
Izoni's issue is that collect evidence goes against how graveyard decks want to play by exiling cards from the grave and how in casual grave hate is so abundant.
Maybe I've had too much to drink but can someone explain how Bruse and Ikra gain you 20 life? 3 + 3 from double strike is six plus 7 from Ikra's ability and toughness and that's 14.
She’s a 3/7 with double strike at that point, so on first strike damage youll gain 3 from lifelink and 7 from her ability totaling 10, then another 10 on the second hit.
Most of these could be little used due to being new? I would say it speaks more to neglect if you found much older commanders with little love, you know, before WOTC made a million legendary creatures in each set.
Ashad has too many oops to jump through. It only works on your FIRST NON LEGENDARY ARTIFACT spell you CAST and you need a body to sac. 6th doctor is so much better it's not even close.
So happy to see Bruse and Ikra get a shout out. I built them a couple years back and it's still SO much fun.

i have been playing bruse and ikra for around 5 years and its my fav deck. love playing them so much. such big life swings.
