@robmullet1728 you can get a 12400f. my friend has it and plays comp 1080p and 1440 when chilling. same gpu btw
@@nuccibebo_ I do already have the vision 3060ti but if I wanted to upgrade to a 12gb card in the future would the 12400f still be enough? I imagine I'd be on 1440p if I needed 12gb so I imagine it would since 1440 is less cpu heavy
@@nuccibebo_ also thanks for your reply, about 10 mins before I read it I thought to myself "12400f is probably enough" and then you commented the same thing, mostly wondering for upgradability, but also worried about power draw/heat with 12600k
i have a 12700k and it doesnt even bottleneck
The best advice is dont buy that GPU at all!
what should you buy instead?
@@iblox44 An RX 6700 is just as good if not cheaper, the 4060 is practically the same price(yes less ram but will have better performance esp. in the long run). Also with collapse of bitcoin mining you can get a 3080 used for the price of a 3060. The real issue here is the fact the first CPUs chosen are both fairly high end and to be honest easily handle 2k/4k gaming, I would be running a 3080-3090 minimum with those chips. For the 3060ti the ryzen 5 3600x would be all you need for solid 1080p.
@@lattimerewhen can you expect the price drops?
I had a Ryzen 5 3600, and it paired well with my 3060 Ti
i7 9700k for 2k works pretty nice
Go for an older Intel i5-12600k
It's almost the same saves some money, also go for ddr4 which is cheaper vs ddr5.
The funny thing is my pre built came with a Ryzen 7 5700x and 3060 ti
5600 : hey guys... whats up.
5700x3d, 5700x : sorry kid. This is 1440p club only
I have a ryzen 7 2700x that should be perfect for a 3060ti have had it for almost 4 years and it's still a beast
Either the r5 5600x or I5 12400f or just 12400 are perfect for this gpu
12700kf is a great pair for 3060ti that allows for upgrade
One guy I saw on facebook complaining about slow perf, stuttering and shit, was gonna give genuine help until I read his rig has 3070 but i5 gen 3 💀
I paired my 3060 ti with the 5800X3D and do not regret it at all .
Funny thing is you could pair an i5-11600K with a 3070, no way it couldnt do a 3060-ti
The 5700x for 1440p and a 5800x3d for 1080p is wild
I've been using a 3060ti with a R7 3700x since the card launched and I've never had an issue at any res
I play at 1440p with a 3060 ti and have a 5600x and can play miles morales at max settings 1440p ray tracing at 80 fps and no frame drops
I Have i7 11700k And rtx 3060 ti And Its nice for 1440p too
In order to utilise the i5's full potential you'd need at least an RTX 3070 or a 2080TI....
Even those processors are too overspec. Most people spend way too much on cpu
i got 5800x works like a charm at my HTPC
I keep playing with haswell and get the best performance
i use an i3 10100F with rtx 3060 TI on 4K TV and i never use 1080P and i hate it most of the games i play are demanding but it goes pretty well on 2160p 4k =70% of my games the rest 30% on 1440P everything is just fantastic when is well optimised now i am buying I5 11400F to check if there is even more happines my mobo pretty cheap too MSI H510M A PRO potato i dont think so i am satisfied with the quality of my potato
If you want you could still get a better processor
Like he said you get the same fps and it leaves room for upgrades
Do 3080 next pls
I have a 3060 paired with a ryzen 7 5700G at the moment so far i have seen my gpu at 80% to 90% and my cpu is chilling at 20% up to 40%
I would say go for Ryzen 7 6800H its a nice cpu with Creativity and gaming
Don't let bro cook
ive already tested those and at 1080p the bottlenecks are terrible because the cpus are having to process so many frames
This is good video speed mate
Dont go with too much speed
Wait, uh can someone explain why we're choosing a relatively weaker CPU (13400F) for 1440p whereas we're choosing a stronger CPU (13600K) for 1080p?
Idk if i would recommend the r7 5800x3d anymore. Sure its an amazing chip and if ur looking for the best gaming performance on am4 then most definitly. That being said idk if i would recommend people to build on am4 no more considering amds 9000 series will be here soon.
You can always buy a more powerful GPU afterwards. I bought a Ryzen 5 7600x for the very same reason. It might be an overkill for the 3060 ti, but a few years later, I can just buy a new GPU and my CPU will still be enough for it
just get a 12400 f and you will be great for 1080 and even 1440 p
Fun fact the ryzen 5 3600x is still a beast for am4. Don't let them fool u. ESPECIALLY FOR BUDGET BUILDS
I’m rocking a ryzen 7 2700x and a 3060 12gb I bought off a dude on marketplace
for 1080p and even higher, excluding 4k, 5700x is more than enough for the 3060ti. I have a 2600x with a 3060 ti and I can play pretty much anything in high/ultrahigh between 60/75 fps and more.
Doesn’t 13600k seem a little much? I literally have a 13600k and a 6950 xt (3090 to 3090 ti level performance) and there’s absolutely no bottleneck at all (1080p)
I would get a 12400f I don’t see the price difference in going for the 13400f it only gets a few more fps
13600k for 1080p and 13400f for 1440p? Should be the other way around eh 🤔
I5-11400F and RTX 2070 Super Is Good?
i5 12600k would work or not with 3060ti
Please make video about rtx 4070 and RX 6800
yes the higher the resolution the less it needs the cpu but I feel like the 5800x is a tad overkill for a 3060 ti at 1080p I use a 3070 and 5600x at 1080p and its totally fine. because the 3060 ti is a bit more budget friendly I would suggest a 5600x or 5700x regardless of 1080p/1440p
Is the 5600x the best for the 3060 ti or should I choose something else
@@viceres6813 it's a really good combo, but it's now last gen. If you're fine with that it's a perfect combo. Just know the 7000 series is out for Ryzen with DRR5 ram
I have (2) rtx 3060 12gbs on a i9 9900k and other on i9 10850k they rock!
I have an R5 5600x but I don't use it for gaming. Its for 3d rendering and all it works stunningly amazing tbh
Guide me on my 1st pc build - my pick: 3060 12gb, i7 13700kF, 32gb RAM. I play no games but into unreal, blender and unity for AR MR development. Kindly guide me. My budget is under 800- 1000€.
Also recommend suitable case, motherboard, cooling sys and other components(upgradable)for the build.
my bro is living in a free market world
Just bought the i7- 14700k for my 3060 ti
Wish me luck fellas 😬😬😬
Mine is a 4060 and i5 12400f ( perfect combo for me i play 1440p)
I have this card, and I have the Ryzen 5700x 👌 And I play on 1080p because I have TV's as my monitors 🤷♂️
I mean personally what I did when I built my first PC recently as it was during a time where GPU availability was problematic was build a PC with the intentions of getting a better GPU but go cheaper on the GPU and upgrade it later so I could have a functioning PC in the meantime
A 3600x ran my 3060ti just fine kept my 144hz 1080p monitor at 144fps on most games. It it didn’t, it was the gpu and not the cpu.
I have a ryzen 5 3600 with rtx 3070 and I don't get any bottleneck at 1080p or 1440p, clearly this guys doesnt know shit about pcs
Me with my overkill 13700kf and 3060ti knowing im not going to need a new cpu for years...
And What about 3060 8GB OC
3060 12gb with i5 12400! No bottleneck
You can always upgrade the graphics card later if you have overkill cpu now😉
I play some games at 4k with my 3060 ti and 11400f. There is no bottleneck btw
I had paired i5 2500k with colourful rtx 3060 ti
What CPU you use should be based on your prefered games if were talking for gaming only. This recommendation was geared towards gpu intensive titles though the 5800x3d and 13600k can handle about anything you can throw at them.
