I love him ❤️. Loving his music and him as a performer goes without saying. But I also love listening to him in conversation because he is so intelligent, intuitive and articulate ❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant genius interview in 2004, forever one of the greatest iconic legendary pop superstars ever, George Michael. Love his cheeky sense of humour and boyish beauty. ❤
Such a brilliant interview. ❤ Kudos to Hans Pilgaard for asking good Qs and kudos to George for, as always, delivering answers that told you, here was a man who’d thought about what he was doing. I know George struggled with a lot of things but he was such a gift. And yes, G, your music goes on.
George was the most honest and genuine man he was a fantastic singer and songwriter and his music is his legacy to the world sleep peaceful george with Yr loved ones xxxx
Mr. interviewer ... WE are ALL broken somewhere - that's the irony with George ... speaking for myself & my generation ( I grew up with George ) ... it seems impossible to us that George could possibly be insecure about his looks because he IS so fine...is he blind ? And George was no narcissist. However, when you don't feel comfortable in your own skin ... it's just that way.
The same opinion, brilliant interview, brilliant human being George! Everything he said was so well explained, so we can keep George in our souls for ever! Thank you for great interview!
I do agree that insecurity and vanity are associated......but I do understand what George is saying. Perhaps if George had been less preoccupied with presenting an image that was not really him deep down, he would have been a lot happier. George Michael beat himself up for a lot of things that he didn’t have to. People loved George Michael’s voice and music for exactly that, but he was a beautiful looking man and also a caring human being.
I agree with what you say here but I think the problem with insecurities is that you can’t necessarily control them or how they make you feel. It doesn’t matter if to everyone else you are beautiful if you don’t believe that you are. It will still affect you and you can’t just decide to not let your image affect you in an industry that is and was based a lot on your image. Artists had to do videos from the 80s onwards - it’s easy to see how being in the public eye can make you very image conscious.
I understand why. He wasn't a very attractive boy/teen. He blossomed into this good looking man much later in life. But when you are not a good looking teen, when that's all that matters to you then - it can scar some people.
It is absolutely insecurity, not vanity; this interviewer doesn't have a clue about that issue - he seems to have zero understanding of childhood upbringing and human nature - Looks, money and success, as we well know, does not bring happiness to all who achieve it. GM always revealed how incredibly self-aware he was which often seemed to throw off interviewers who came to the interview with certain preconceptions about him. You can see he's not comfortable even looking directly at the interview when answering him, likely because the camera is there. We are all so complex and I adored him for his honesty about himself, it came through in his music as well as in these interviews - which he really really did not feel comfortable doing. ❤
In this interview, he confesses, at 15:52, that he will choose the moment he dies. I think he was right: he chose to die, unconsciously, I don't know, on December 25, 20 years after his mother.
I had the same thought. Even though he was technically talking about his career, it seemed that he was actually talking about more than that (in “Through”.)
Hi, my friends! I´m very-very sad as he never ever had not however, not any clou, as I´m exsist! 1986 have I 19. Even then, 2004 i havent compjuter, as send any sing of self.. 😳 I love him anywey!!! ✌Hi ´s my tipe. Sorry.. ❤🩹Higest talent!!! I must be near.. (Sorry, but it´s true!.
Don't distract them... Boy was George speaking prophetically!!!...The worst thing that has happened to America has been #Distraction!!!....Jesus help us🙏🙏🙏!!!
I do not deny that he must have been a human being who showed empathy, but he gave in to the sirens of illicit substances until his death. This destroyed him. When we are told that if Anselmo was still alive and George would not have died, it is not true: he used drugs long before he met Anselmo: in 1987 he was already using drugs. Besides, we don't even know if they would have been still together or separated
No one knows why George died. Yes, he was open about his problems with substance abuse and depression and anxiety issues, but we will never know the full story. What remains a fact is that he was a huge talent and that very few artists will ever do what he did. He sang, wrote and produced like an angel. And to top it all off he was a generous human being who gave to others.
No, he wasn't an Angel on earth. But only a human being. An Angel is perfect and have no defaults like human being. George made good songs and helped people who was in needs, but he was only human. Stop to make him like Jesus or an Angel. It's blasphemous.
@@Hakim21210 I’d really appreciate it if you would refrain from calling me blasphemous. If you’d bothered to read what I wrote, you’d see that I took great care to state that George had problems with quite a few things. I’m just adding my opinion and I’d never say that George is perfect. And I’m basing it on having followed George from 1984 onwards, both as a journalist and as a huge fan. I

The fact that this man has physical insecurities boggles the mind!

This interview had already 20 years old. It's if it was 7 or ten years old, not so old!
In this interview, he confesses, at 15:52, that he will choose the moment he dies. I think he was right: he chose to die, unconsciously, I don't know, on December 25, 20 years after his mother.
He is talking about his musical career at 15.52 Not about suicide, neither conciously nor unconciously.
I had the same thought. Even though he was technically talking about his career, it seemed that he was actually talking about more than that (in “Through”.)

If he was straight, he would be a WINNER OF THE UNIVERSE OF THE ETERNITY. His gayness was his demise unfortunately.
What an unbelievable backwards comment! Keep horrible comments like that to yourself! Utter disgraceful comment you half wit!
