I went to see him on the Faith Tour at The NEC Birmingham and I remember this as the opening of the show.The concert was brilliant but it was a long time ago.
I saw him at the same venue, it was on the 25th of June 1988. One obsessed fan went screaming and running down the aisle, security in hot pursuit 🤣. Fantastic night, and I am so glad I got to see him at least once before his passing.
I saw him at the NEC and it was a great concert.I went to see him again on the Listen Without Prejudice tour in 1992.Although he was in contract dispute and couldn’t sing the new songs and had to resort to sing cover versions of other people’s songs his versions was often better than the original versions.So this was another good concert.

The handshakes were lovely and the one young man reaching out as George walked away and yet George didn't disappoint him. The look of awe on their faces was precious. This performance for all those nights really did take their toll on him - He really was just incredibly sensitive and he just couldn't do this again - and, I completely get it seeing what went on. I do get a kick out of old interviews where he said he didn't think he was going to create the whole scream thing again on his own without Andrew with his Faith image....Hard to fathom not realizing it, look at him....❤ Paul Abdul really put him through a rigorous routine when she choreographed Faith - this looks exhausting. I liked the less choreographed Rock in Rio concerts in 1991 more but, this is pretty incredible
