Dawn McCandless I wish I could have been there. I was living in Lincoln, Nebraska when Wham! formed and I've never been to a Wham! Concert or a George Michael solo concert. I don't know if they ever came to Nebraska for a concert, at least, not that I was aware of but if they had, you can be sure I would definitely have gone if I was able too.
I saw the Faith Tour when I was 16 with my best childhood friend in Philly on August 10, 1988. It was unbelievable how amazing his voice was live. I’ve been to numerous concerts in my life & that night was the loudest show I’ve ever attended. I remember those in attendance (mostly women) going completely berserk. I lost my voice for several days after the screaming/singing I did that night & my hearing was wrecked as well! I still have my Faith program. His music was the soundtrack of my adolescence which wasn’t always the happiest. I will forever be grateful to him for bringing so much wonderful music into my life ❤
I saw him in Sydney, my friends and I jumped our way to the stage.. i noticed there was a bit of a 2 metre gap between the audience and the wall.. so everytime George ran to the left.. up the ramp we moved and ran to the left with him.. it was so funny he noticed what we up to..finally when he sang play that funky music, he knelt down and we were face to face and I was in heaven!, lol i had no idea of the lyrics but was just so stoked and embarrassed at the same time.. it was the best concert ever. all these years later i am still much of a George Michael fan because he is just so freakin talented..

And rockers who use drugs, drink, commit a lot of immoral acts, live in the fast lane, etc perhaps you should rethink your example of "all those kind of people" who have gone there. Saw George live on The Faith tour at Earls Court 88 you only have to listen to the crowd to realise what incredible stage presence he had. I still cannot believe he is gone, but his legacy will live on forever through his brilliant music. RIP
