In the dyno for me sound like a tune b16 b18 or b20 Frankinstein with big cams header bigger throttle and Open exhaust with no resonator but without The Vtec engament 😂😂
Its the rasp that kills it. Same issue with VQs, BMW engines (not all, the B58 manages to avoid this quite well), VW's EA888, and countless "fart cannon" Hondas from the past. Its a nasally, higher-pitched rasp that ruins the underlying tone of the exhaust and gives it a "megaphone-y" quality. You could maybe fix (or at least help) it with a cat, but that's kind of a no-no for running anti-lag. A resonator setup could work quite well while still keeping the straight pipe flow benefits.
@@MrManuel1329 Are they equal length? I thought B58s had the headifold. I suppose what runners are there could still be equal length. Regardless, they sound miles better than whichever engine is in the M3/4 (S58? S55? I don't remember.)
