    I suspect that your rivet popped, because earlier, (in the previous video
    0, you had been heating the inside of the smoke box to dislodge the crud, and created a heat stress on the plates, and that particular rivet, gave up first, relieving the overall stress

    Was this locomotive rescued from a scrap yard hence the missing steel portions ? where will the missing parts come from for this restoration, another engine I d guess since very few if any of the manufacturers exist.

      yes it is a narrow gauge locomotive. 2 foot gauge, it seems.

    Im just starting to get out of highschool n ive done small scale work like this.
    N id love to help but im from texas. :/
    Doubt im any where near an engine in need of restoration
    Only ones near me are Durango n silverton
    And theres another narrow gauge 3" but i dont remember the name of the line

    Why was there so much water coming out of the piston valve at the beginning of the video? Good luck in the restoration work! Also, is this a cosmetic or complete restoration?

      Build up of moisture between the covers was frozen solid & with the heat from the rosebud melted said condensation making it easier to remove the cover(s).

    you need to invest in a wind sock for yor microphone i turned the sound off its so bad
