I grew up watching you fish. Imagine my surprise when I was looking for how to make turkey calls and find you making one. I gonna make one like yours just because it’s a Roland Martin knock off cheers and I had to subscribe!
Awesome Roland! I have watched your fishing shows since they were on PBS on Sunday afternoons when I was a kid. I admire your talents and no thrills approach to teaching all of us RUclipsrs. You have accomplished much and should be very proud.
I’m not a turkey hunter, I did hunt deer years ago and I didn’t think I would like the video- how ever it was fascinating to watch you and learn about a box call. Thank you very much!!!
Mr. Martin. I've been watching you fish and hunt on tv since I was a kid My dad didn't hunt but was a hell of a fisherman. I was raised to fish and never pass on a chance to wet a line. You're the reason I started hunting and have been an avid hunter for 20 yrs. Now I'm teaching my kids both hunting and fishing. My son and I are headed to Louisiana for the first week of turkey season and do some fishing for crappie or white perch as they call them in LA . Thank you for this video. You've given us another hobby we can share. We didn't watch a lot of TV growing up. But we never missed the fishing programs. You are an excellent role model for today's lost generation who should be mentored by someone like you rather than Spongebob. Thank you sir!
Thanks Brian, I was in the process of typing a similar comment when I read yours and thought I would "DITTO" your comment as you said it better than I could of. Blessings my fellow sportsman
Hey Roland. I'm a wood worker in West Virginia. I use an Amish source for all my wood up in Ohio. Keim Lumber can get you all the Butternut you need if you're having problems getting it down there. Butternut works well with Walnut because the species are very closely related...some people call it "White Walnut". ALSO, if you need someone to make some for you, I can certainly make calls for you and you could STILL SAY they were made by "Roland"...lol.
What a character you are man. "Cutdown one of Johnny's butternut trees, we didn't tell him." LMAO. Edit to Add: I still can't explain why I am even watching a video on turkey call making.
Do you have any turkey hunting videos Mr. Martin? I used to watch you and ol Bill Dance fishin every weekend when I was a kid. Way back when we to turn the ol antenna to pick up the one tv station we could get.
can you give me the outside and inside demenions for the Neil Cost call ,the long one that you have signed. i would like to try and make my own. Thank You wayne howard
200.00 plus shipping Autographed with description details and numbered on the lid. Wish had money to order one right now, I plan to turkey hunt some this year because I haven't hunted turkey's in several years. Hopefully by February I can order. His directions for sending your order was in his last video, I think email, he's got a website too but I haven't looked there yet.
Roland :( my bad for changing you subject here. How hard is it to fish in freezing water with a outboard motor. Can I/we fish here in the north east with outboards without motor worries?
Great job Roland... Ok i'll bite, what is the traditional finish used on a box call??? Urethane may excel because of its hardness, but was was used traditionally ?? J
Wow Roland didn’t know all this about you Thank You i love to turkey hunting nothing like calling a bird in 😊
