Of course you could look to Bobby's opening question. How is it that we are still this bad for so long? One of the common themes during this entire time, is that we fire a HC and/or a GM every two to three years. Not so sure repeating that cycle is our path to victory. In fact if we look to the entire John Mara tenure, the ONLY time he went against the whinging media and fanbase that wanted people fired... we went on to win two Super Bowls.

Here's why Drew Lock played well. - Engineered touchdown drives in the first & fourth quarters. - Engaged Nabers early in the passing game. Connections with Theo & Co in the 2nd half - Multiple times, overcame huge penalties called on the O-Line to keep scoring drives alive. - Passing - Lock completed 21 of 32 passes for 178 yards. Include 4 dropped passes & he's 25 of 32. Four incompletions physically caused by pass rush. This doesn't include chunk passing plays taken off the board by penalties. - Drew Lock and Tommy Devito are not in the same class of NFL quarterbacks, clearly. My sense is that if Daboll is smart continues with Lock as #1, we may've found our bridge QB in house. - I have my doubts in Daboll. I absolutely have my doubts in Bobby's QB analyses. I have no doubt in Drew Lock.
I agree with what you are saying, and lock has a real NFL arm. I believe the Giants should have gone with Lock a long time ago! Daboll is a clown! The number one responsibility of a head coach is having your player reedy to play like blocking, caching the football, holding onto the football, not having penalty after penalty, make sure your player are warmed up and ready to practices so they don't get injured. Daboll can't judge talent he has his mind made up an don't confuse him with the facts because he was the Coach of the year!!! Yeah right, they can put that were the sun don't shine!!!
@@MissouriBoatRide420 I addressed those devastating miscues in another post. I separated them from the positive assessment because those are correctable physical errors. Essentially, I'm cutting Drew Lock the same slack that I cut Tyrone Tracy. Here, I'm focusing on the talent displayed over the course of the game. - BTW - more than 70 passing yards were taken off the board due to penalties, which adversely impacted Drew's completion percentage and passing yards total. - Overall, Drew's performance illustrates his ability to engineer the offense and get the ball into the end zone.
I’m thankful for things outside of this team and I would fix this team by not cycling through regimes. Let Schoen and Daboll learn as you are willing to let Nabers learn.
I think the giants should have picked michael Penix from Washington. And given him the opportunity to win the job. I think he's gonna be an excellent quarterback in the n. F. L. And should have found. A couple of offensive lynyman in the draft or free agency. And they needed. To draft defense linemen to stop the run and rush the passer quarterbacks have all day. To pass against the giants.
@@Billy-yh3mh At his age and stage of his career, I think he would rather take over a team that has some potential right now (the Cowboys, bears, so have you).
Bobby’s “thanksgiving meal” pic this year wasn’t awful enough, I legitimately forgot that was a bit you do every year until you mentioned it here! Thought bobby just had a depressing thanksgiving meal alone ngl
Our running backs fumble, our WRs drop the ball, our quarterbacks never see the tight end or slot receiver open up the seam, our corners and safeties are never in position or able to a int a pass, and then the tackling all these shoulder tackles never hit they rarely wrap up and it shows in the missed tackle rate. That’s on coaching when the team can’t do the little things right that’s because there isn’t enough attention on the details. Every week this team doesn’t just do one thing to lose NO they do a combination of everything to do it
10+ losses 9 of 11 years? Didnt even realize its been so bad so long. 3 straight gms that were largely awful at drafting and roster building really sunk this team so much. And all the bad free agency money spent to try and make up for it. Its crazy how terrible theyve been at this
Gettleman's biggest crime wasn't the Jones and Barkley picks. It was never building a quality offensive line to properly evaluate these players. How is it that Philadelphia always has a good offensive line and now surprisingly (sarcasm alert) Barkley looks like Barry Sanders?
If we end up with the first pick, and it were up to me, I’d have to draft Hunter and bring Fields in for the next year or 2 until we can do whatever necessary to draft Arch. Hunter is a once in a lifetime type talent, and we need so much more than just a QB.
This is not a great qb draft class. But if the Giants do not select one with their first pick, which very well could be the top pick in the draft, they would be making a huge mistake. Especially if the alternative is to select Travis Hunter, who is not super elite at any position. Good at WR, good at DB, but he’s not going to play both ways in the NFL much if at all (and he wouldn’t be terribly effective if he did). So the Giants would be using a top pick in the draft for a good-not GREAT-player. That is a really bad idea. Now, if they have a pick in the late first round, too, Hunter would be a really nice selection.
Can you imagine the Circus the Giants would be with Shedur Sanders trying to play QB behind this line? He would be getting beat up and his father would be holding press conferences where he would expound his wisdom. Giants would be smart to sign Lock to two years for 25 per and use that first round pick to build a line.
i feel like such an idiot, sitting here watching highlights from the Vikings game, thinking we had our savior coach and a developing tough qb. had so much hope and fun that year.... now we are here, seemingly at the beginning of another 3-4 year rebuild that MAY or MAY NOT work.
They need to bring in someone who commands enough respect to keep the Mara’s at bay. I normally wouldn’t want to bring in a 75 year old to fix the problems but Bill is best case scenario. Make him VP of football operations and head coach. After 3 years he can pick the next coach.
The only reason the game was competitive was that the Cowboys went into a Prevent Offense the entire fourth quarter ... a guarantee to lose any momentum and allow the other team a shot. Also, you neglected to congratulate the Giants at the outset for their unparalleled ability to commit key penalties.
It’s so sad to see two talented guys be confined week after week analyzing a consistently awful team if not the worst in the NFL for the last five years!
So many of our defensive players are football soft. They chicken tackle. Meaning; they try a hard bump odder a high tackle. Few go into the legs and wrap up. Those tackles can hurt but they are what is effective.
I stopped watching before the cowboys got their last TD. Actually early in the 3rd Q I just gave up as I knew already we’d lost to a poor cowboys team. I didn’t even know we got to 20 points, so I’ve no idea who scored so I’m off to watch the low lights. I’m thankful for Xavia McKinney for showing how disastrous management is for letting yet another Giant go on to be an ex Giant playing good and rubbing it their faces.
I genuinely can not decide if I want Daboll and Schoen to come back. I keep leaning towards wanting them back because I want to see them without being under the Daniel Jones black cloud. Jones is gone, they may have the 1st pick, I still want to see what they do now. But at the same time I’m not sure I trust them to pick the right QB….
Am i crazy but should Chapman be a stand up player instead of hand in the dirt? He is getting swallowed up every play. He’s in there being pushed around so easily.
Mara should be mad at himself. Regimes and players come and go, but the Giants has been an absolute disgrace since Super Bowl 46 outside of 2016 and 2022.
Disgrace since 2017 outside of 2022. We were in playoff contention until the last week of the season in 2012 and 2013-2015 we led the league in injuries every year but still managed to win 6 or 7 games. Playoffs in 2016. After that, it's been a disgrace
BTW, there were two reasons to root for your team to lose. Not that you have to like it, but when you have problems to solve you need to accept them before you can solve them. The first was to reload at QB, for which a high draft pick is required, and almost particularly this year. And to get one of those picks you need to either lose more games than everyone else or trade away the next two-three years of draft picks to move up. And since you've already exiled Daniel Jones, it's just very important to you right now that the Giants keep losing lots of games so you can draft the best available replacement But the other reason I'd be a lot more concerned about is that when you're flushing the toilet you need to finish flushing to get rid of all the turds, meaning Daboll and Schoen obviously, but also Mara. The more you lose, the more turds you can flush in credible fashion. You should be less concerned with football and more concerned with things like pouring sewage on the fans, erecting Sean Taylor statues next to the outhouses in the parking lot, suing season ticket holders, lying about how great the culture is and sending cheerleaders to the Bahamas for sexual harassment photo ops. You know, the sort of stuff the Redskins were doing to get rid of Dan Snyder. IMO you are all being lazy and negligent if you're not working on this. Having a rotten owner is not something you should just sit there and accept. It's not gravity. Get creative!
Yeah, JMS is not what he was made out to be his like 26 years old and 2nd yeah player in the NFL not even good his like fair to poor. Another one of the great picks from Joe Schoen.
Thibs struggling against a rookie LT is nothing new. He struggled against a rookie earlier in the season. Ive been saying it since last season the guy is a slightly better version of Mathias Kiwanuka and thats not going to cut it when you're drafted 5th overall.
You guys were the biggest haters of Barkley. It’s time to face facts like the Democrats, DJ was only really good because he had a RB like Saquon to take the pressure off him. The strategy from now on is have a good running game with a solid RB (or 2 Solid RBs) and a competent QB. We should keep Drew Lock, even if we get a number 1 QB pick. We should sit through number 1 QB pick for at least a year or half the year but we should be able to build a good enough team that can win despite the QB. We have fire Bowen and beg someone capable to coach the defence for us.
What's different about this year from previous years? Same result & same topics of conversation, a horrible O line, too many missed tackles, and penalties. BTW, it's pretty obvious Neal cannot play tackle in the NFL. Will they move him to guard to see if he can at least play any position in the NFL or continue to trot him out and wait til next year all the while having us listen to Shoen tell us how good he was in college, UGH!? Also, do we hold Shoen accountable for these bad draft choices? JMS stinks, Neal stinks, Runyon stinks, and that other guard is terrible.

- Engineered touchdown drives in the first & fourth quarters.
- Engaged Nabers early in the passing game. Connections with Theo & Co in the 2nd half
- Multiple times, overcame huge penalties called on the O-Line to keep scoring drives alive.

@bobmackey8851 😎
Yeah right, they can put that were the sun don't shine!!!
lol just ignoring the 2 turnovers
Fire everyone, don’t force a qb, slow build
You guys have a really good show. I like the calm, professional approach. Too many podcasts are just young fanboys trying to get attention.
How do things get worse and worse?! The worst Giants season fittingly in the 100th season smh. They don't do the little things right exactly.
101 is the turning point.
100th season, and headed for our first 2 win season in 50 years. Smh.
It’s incredible. MacAdoo, shurmer, judge, daboll, same smelly crap for a decade.
It’s tackle football!!
If he wanted the job, I’d hand the keys to Belichick, why the heck not ! (I don’t think he’d be interested)
Yes
You don't think he would be interested in coaching the team he started with and loves? Wild assumption.
Its crazy how terrible theyve been at this
You get immune to ineptitude after a few years.
@cooldude7821 seriously
Coaches Patterson and Henderson supposedly have great reps. Please tell me what young player they have developed.
Can you imagine the Circus the Giants would be with Shedur Sanders trying to play QB behind this line? He would be getting beat up and his father would be holding press conferences where he would expound his wisdom. Giants would be smart to sign Lock to two years for 25 per and use that first round pick to build a line.
2/50 for Lock is nutz.
Lock looked half assed against a really bad team
1 loss closer to the #1 pick and end of the Daboll/Schoen era.
i feel like such an idiot, sitting here watching highlights from the Vikings game, thinking we had our savior coach and a developing tough qb. had so much hope and fun that year.... now we are here, seemingly at the beginning of another 3-4 year rebuild that MAY or MAY NOT work.
Spent my Thanksgiving with my in-laws (Bears fans). They felt bad for me for being a Giants fan… like I was someone who needed an organ transplant.
Now dexter Lawerence is out for season nacho is out for a couple weeks gonna get worse
We have had a HUGE drop problem for years. Did we forget EE already?
McFadden is a sift tackler too
I wonder if Daboll can survive the benching of Daniel Jones.
Fire dabol hire belichek
They need to bring in someone who commands enough respect to keep the Mara’s at bay. I normally wouldn’t want to bring in a 75 year old to fix the problems but Bill is best case scenario. Make him VP of football operations and head coach. After 3 years he can pick the next coach.
On the broadcast you can hear cowboys defensive players telling us to just run it
LET IT HAPPEN GIANTS FANS …. We need that top pick
Yeah I’m ready for a clean house tbh staff included
The only reason the game was competitive was that the Cowboys went into a Prevent Offense the entire fourth quarter ... a guarantee to lose any momentum and allow the other team a shot. Also, you neglected to congratulate the Giants at the outset for their unparalleled ability to commit key penalties.
It’s so sad to see two talented guys be confined week after week analyzing a consistently awful team if not the worst in the NFL for the last five years!
Done caring until Shoen and Daboll are gone .
Couldn't agree more!
Even Theo Johnson done for season?! Everyone gets hurt vs Dallas!
Wasn't there a thing about the Giants were the only team in the NFL draft to not take either OL/DL ? I wonder why we can't move/stop the ball
Get rid of daboll and shoen
So many of our defensive players are football soft. They chicken tackle. Meaning; they try a hard bump odder a high tackle. Few go into the legs and wrap up. Those tackles can hurt but they are what is effective.
They are so far away…
Nothing else matters. Not nabers, not slaton, not Barkley not Jones. It's the fucking o line😊
Everything matters
if they do hire schoen, i hope they promote brandon brown to GM
Anyone who presided over the choosing of OBJ over ARRON DONALD- GUVE HIM H IS HAT AND SHOW HIM THE DOOR
We will never win again till we get an line. We could get a prime Brady, prime motana, prime Jerry rice prime saquan if no o line no wins😊
We had prime saquan … he’s still in his prime.. clearly.
Check out Bobby all dressed up for the occasion 👌🏽👌🏽
I really blame Schoen for most of this. This is his roster. 1 good draft put of 3 shouldn't save his job.
Dex needs some help; Geez, even Leonard Williams would help at this point.
Fire Joe Schoen, Promote Brandon Brown. Fire the DC, OC, and HC, Bring in Vrabel as HC, and a new oc and dc.
I don’t trust Schoen'a ability to evaluate talent.
Watch how Nabors executes motion. Sloppy shoddy nonchalant. That should be unacceptable and coached out of him.
Clean house, Shoen and Dabol have failed us.
15:40 Joe Judge was innocent
Bill Bellichick
Am i crazy but should Chapman be a stand up player instead of hand in the dirt? He is getting swallowed up every play. He’s in there being pushed around so easily.
Justin bets $50- against the Giants. Screw you. Bobby needs to find a new partner.
Mara should be mad at himself. Regimes and players come and go, but the Giants has been an absolute disgrace since Super Bowl 46 outside of 2016 and 2022.
1,000%
Disgrace since 2017 outside of 2022. We were in playoff contention until the last week of the season in 2012 and 2013-2015 we led the league in injuries every year but still managed to win 6 or 7 games. Playoffs in 2016.
After that, it's been a disgrace
Justin you just keep betting against the giants make that paper 📜
Giants need to clean house. We have seen enough Schoen and Daboll. I don't want them to pick the next QB. I really don't.
I tell you every time we were your superbowl
BTW, there were two reasons to root for your team to lose. Not that you have to like it, but when you have problems to solve you need to accept them before you can solve them. The first was to reload at QB, for which a high draft pick is required, and almost particularly this year. And to get one of those picks you need to either lose more games than everyone else or trade away the next two-three years of draft picks to move up. And since you've already exiled Daniel Jones, it's just very important to you right now that the Giants keep losing lots of games so you can draft the best available replacement
But the other reason I'd be a lot more concerned about is that when you're flushing the toilet you need to finish flushing to get rid of all the turds, meaning Daboll and Schoen obviously, but also Mara.
Theo = a tank
All the people who blamed DJ and said that it's just a QB problem look like fools now. The entire franchise is broken.
Yeah bro if Lock and Devito can't get it done nobody can!
Lol thought for sure you had deleted your account by now.
DJ was a huge problem for the team. We just replaced him with worse problems. Stop acting like these guys are any better
Nah, his play was an issue and one that was exacerbated by his price. Nobody was wrong about DJ. He just was never the ONLY problem.
@@Avery2Time Funny enough both Devito and Lock put up DJ-esque stat lines for way less money.
Well, it’s a QB problem. He was the QB. He’s gone now so now it’s a Lock/Devito problem.
I'm thankful for the first overall pick honestly let's keep losing
Tanking is for losers
Losers don't have to try to lose
To bad it's not and Eli/Ben/Rivers type draft
35:30 where u been justin ppl been killing burns all year
Shane bowen gotta go
Yeah, JMS is not what he was made out to be his like 26 years old and 2nd yeah player in the NFL not even good his like fair to poor. Another one of the great picks from Joe Schoen.
At least he's playing at an "average" level. He's not the biggest issue on the O-line.
Thibs struggling against a rookie LT is nothing new. He struggled against a rookie earlier in the season. Ive been saying it since last season the guy is a slightly better version of Mathias Kiwanuka and thats not going to cut it when you're drafted 5th overall.
Their traits are just flip flopped. Thibs is the better pass rusher of the two and Kiwi was the better run defender.
Definitely a better game from Lock than DeVito's game.
Locks arm gives defenses at least a reason to pay attention to the "deep" part of the field.
Betting is a cancer on sports that’s all I have to say
You guys were the biggest haters of Barkley. It’s time to face facts like the Democrats, DJ was only really good because he had a RB like Saquon to take the pressure off him. The strategy from now on is have a good running game with a solid RB (or 2 Solid RBs) and a competent QB. We should keep Drew Lock, even if we get a number 1 QB pick. We should sit through number 1 QB pick for at least a year or half the year but we should be able to build a good enough team that can win despite the QB. We have fire Bowen and beg someone capable to coach the defence for us.
Kayvon T. can’t even beat back up Dallas Olineman. What a waste of 5th overall!!!!!!!!!!!
To sum it up, HC SUCKS, GM SUCKS, MARA SUCKS. Get rid of everyone, including the ball boys
Brady is a terrible announcer but he HATES Dj lmaooo. He’s been ragging on him for years
What's different about this year from previous years? Same result & same topics of conversation, a horrible O line, too many missed tackles, and penalties. BTW, it's pretty obvious Neal cannot play tackle in the NFL. Will they move him to guard to see if he can at least play any position in the NFL or continue to trot him out and wait til next year all the while having us listen to Shoen tell us how good he was in college, UGH!? Also, do we hold Shoen accountable for these bad draft choices? JMS stinks, Neal stinks, Runyon stinks, and that other guard is terrible.
