I think it depends on the neighbors. From what I've seen, the L87 6.2L V8 has an aggressive cold start with any aftermarket exhaust. They all quiet down after about 30s of idling, so if you're going to go the route of aftermarket exhaust, I would base your decision on the in-cabin noise at speed, and the levels of drone. I purchased through RealTruck.com and had the dealership install. On my first ZR2 Silverado, I purchased through GM. Price was the same both ways, but RealTruck had inventory and GM did not this time.
this is the borla s type system. take a look at awe's bash guard system, I just put it on last week and its aggressive when you want it to be with really little drone in total. going to install a cold air intake this week to get a richer tone in total, but not required. I think its worth it imo

I got the same exhaust through my dealer. It’s loud and obnoxious on cold start, but develops a rich, deep tone after warming. 👍🏼

Sounds awesome but is it going to piss my neighbors off? Should I go with the touring instead of the S-Type?
Touring is almost the same on start up - my cold start actually got tamer as it broke in - the driving stayed the same.
