There's no actual evidence of Jesus actually existing other than writings that came over 30 years after his supposed death, and if we exclude the Bible then there really is no basis for him besides like a handful of writings about him by like Josephus but even then there isn't enough details to actually make a story about him. Furthermore christians would inevitably be offended because Jesus would probably be portrayed as progressive and modern christians are vehemently against progression. It's like making a game about Muhammed, it just can't exist without religious people being offended. I'm only a few hours into this one. From what I've seen, it looks like we're steadily making our way back to the original games. People always compare to others, and it never works. As much as I really want this game, I can’t get over how similar the setting looks to Origins Egypt despite them being in different places and different time periods. Origins is one of my favourite ac games though.
Not worth getting it until sale imo. You don't get most gadgets until you are deep into the game, I still only have knives+smoke bomb and I'm already like 5hs into the game ( although you could just save all your skill points and get the equipment as soon as possible, but then you would not have perks of seeing equipment with the eagle trough the walls, nor the ability to get your knives back from enemy bodies Not only that, but gameplay wise, the game does not play that good. Most often, if the AC game is getting glazed by these montage RUclipsrs, it means the gameplay in their videos does not translate all that well to yours. And when it gets hated by them, it means that the gameplay you get will be better. Look at this example. Odyssey is hated by RUclipsrs, yet it was nominated for GOTY, placed second if I'm not mistaken, and for those who actually played the game they probably enjoyed it. Yes, the game is not so consistent for montages, but it has underrated stealth and gameplay wise it's the best in the series (talking about odyssey). Regarding mirage, even tho the base game costs only 49€, I would still wait for a sale, because the game is short, and it doesn't play that well, so probably when you end the story, you might not play it again.

Genuinely so torn on this game. I've seen some incredible stealth videos with cool combat mechanics, but I've also seen some reviewers talking about the issues with the game and most of the criticisms seem valid. AC franchise is in such a weird spot right now.

Love the video and Mirage in general. It's the most fun I've had in an AC game since Origins. My only complaints would be a lack of a new game plus and/or repeatable contracts for end game content so we can finally use all the outfits and maxed out gear and skills after acquiring all of them. Otherwise, this is classic AC returning to form.
i think they have to bring back double assassination even he had only one hiden blade , and the other he could use normal blade as a second it could better
One double assassinations and twin hidden blades are invented by Altair. Two they aren’t even needed swiftly showcased why in this video it’s called a one-two use a consumable then immediately kill a guard.
I wish they could have developed a bit more the open combat, non-stealth gameplay as well. Would have been great to see them implement the old AC1 block/parry system, with some additions too

No actually, Altair stabbed enemies in the back/kidney or whatever the area if you walked behind them. Same thing goes for Ezio. I haven’t played too much of this game yet but sometimes Basim will stab them in the neck, in particular with armoured enemies and other times in the back.
Why are there so many guards just staring at a wall? Lol the stealth looks awesome but that just makes the ai look so dumb. They aren't even animated to do anything in most of the clips I've seen
The game just seems underwhelming to me.. it looks almost all the same, but I’m not sure what else to really expect. I remember with the old games I looked forward to new kill animations and gadgets. Haven’t seen anything new in this vs previous titles.
