I was gonna mention that a lot of people can't afford to go to the doctor. I'm speaking for Americans of course. A lot of people would like to have procedures like this done, but not everyone can afford a doctor visit or even insurance.

They usually send urea cream home with the patient to smooth it out even more, but calluses and corns are likely to come back.

How does this happen? I've had calusses on my feet for many years from walking around outside barefoot but never anything like that?
When I saw the orangish yellowish cube on their foot I gagged and almost threw up
Knowing me, I would forcefully rip it off, get an infection, and need to have my foot amputated.

Sometimes people wait because they cant pay for it yet. In glorious America even with insurance, people have to put off basic treatments like this because for profit healthcare systems and insurance companies are driving the economy up. It might be bad for everybody but it looks good on paper I guess

They're either in USA where seeking care needs you to remortgage the house or in Australia where you could dig a new cross city tunnel before getting to see a medical professional.
Their medical insurance probably deemed it unnecessary hence why it took them so long to see someone
